Booked car online to meet me at the airport. Phoned as instructed when I got off the aircraft. Received a call 5 minutes later from the driver to tell me he was just leaving Horsham! What's the point of pre booking?!!! Called the office, no offer of an apology, just arguing that I must have used the online booking wrong! Never again! April 7; It’s now three weeks later and although in reply to my initial review they said that they would investigate and get back to me I’ve heard nothing!

Always used AAA2b wherever possible! - The one time I couldn't get a taxi with them for an airport journey I ended up being picked up late and missing a flight! Always polite and courteous and go the extra mile on the phone and drivers are on time and in clean vehicles. Great service.

Being a busy person, this is only the second time I have ever left a review, but I am afraid that terrible experience has compelled me to do so. To be fair I have used A2B through our business which is one of the largest employers in the Horsham up until this latest fiasco have found them to be a decent firm who have looked after us and our employees. We booked a transfer from just outside Horsham to Heathrow on the 22nd of December and the driver (Chris) arrived on time in a decent enough people carrier to take myself, my wife and our 8-year-old twins to the airport. The driver was courteous, and I helped him load some heavy bags in the back of the car. We lurched out of drive with all the skill of a learner driver and then the driver said he wasn’t sure of the best route. When I asked if he had Sat Nav I was somewhat taken aback when he said he didn’t use it and I had to employ the use of my phone which was already low on battery to direct him to the airport. During the journey I felt unsafe as the driving was erratic - at one stage he even stalled the people carrier and just before Heathrow he almost hit another car at a roundabout and the driver of the other car swerved to avoid us. On arrival at Heathrow (after me directing him where to go the whole way) I helped the driver unload the bags and paid by card which seemed to take ages as he didn’t seem to know how to do it. I offered the chap a £40 tip but he refused and said he knew how expensive Canada was (my guess was he was ashamed of the awful drive). This was the worst taxi journey of my entire life and I asked my wife not to use this driver again. On our return on the 2nd of January I was astounded when the same guy (Chris) was there to pick us up. We received a text but was not told where to go to meet him and he parked on level 2. After 40 minutes trying to link up we went to level 1 which was closed and then told to go to level 2 which we did. When we arrived at the level 2, a completely different people carrier in silver was waiting for someone else and watched in stunned amazement as Chris started to put our cases in the back of this, but it was not his vehicle and was trying to drive off. When Chris eventually manged to identify his own vehicle, I got in the back to watch something on the ipad with the children (who had just endured a 9-hour flight) as I thought that surely Chris would know the way back. It soon became evident that I was labouring under a misapprehension as he didn’t know where he was going and ended up on wrong road on the way to Portsmouth. I had to get my phone out again and direct him back through Haselmere feeling unsafe all the way. On arrival at my house I was so irritated by this calamitous driver I let him unload the bags and did not offer a tip. True to form he did not know how to take payment (again) and said the bank had refused payment. The bank hadn’t of course, and it was Chris who didn’t know how to do it and then asked to borrow my home phone to sort it out. I am sure that A2B are generally better than this, but these two journeys represent my worst ever taxi journeys I have ever had and myself and my family even have a name for the driver who is now known as Calamity Chris. If it wasn’t for the fact that we felt unsafe one could probably laugh at this and put it down to an unpleasant experience.
