What a place! Lovely gentleman took the time to repair my anglepoise lamp. Very, very, very reasonable and no hesitation in recommending this place. £15 to repair and restore the lamp without messing with the original "cord" and plug. A bulb was fitted too! The shop is a treasure trove. Highly recommended.
Disappointed with the price of £15 for a washer and a fuse. Invented a fault that just wasn't there and charged me for it. Avoid

Quick + friendly customer service. A S Electrics repaired an old lamp for me and it was super quick and reasonably priced. Lovely shop inside - they don't make them like that anymore!
Fantastic service. My electric fire had been making some noise from the flame blower motor. The owner checked it out and couldn't find any fault he thought it might be where it's situated and that an imbalance has caused the noise. It is now back in place an balanced properly, no noise. No charge. The shop has everything a DIY guy could wish for and is not then the owner will source it.
This is my favourite shop. I've bought bits and pieces of hardware here for over 20 years, and had repairs done for a coffee machine, a lamp and the cable of a hedge-trimmer I had cut through. I was on the point of ordering a new dishwasher at lunch time today, as my current one had stopped working, but thought I would call to see if they could help. By 4.30pm someone had come out and fixed it - for a total charge of £45. Outstanding.
Repaired my Mum's table lamp quickly, efficiently and all for a very reasonable price. I'm absolutely delighted with the service I got in this fantastic shop which looks like a traditional ironmonger shop with items stocked high. Brilliant place.
