The best afternoon tea ever Lovely place, nice staff and fabulous food. I visited this tea room more than once and every time has been fantastic! Highly recommended
Had lunch here after a lovely walk at Horstead. It is really important to book a table as it is a very popular cafe/restaurant. Parking can also be a problem for the same reason. Seating is a few tables on the ground floor with more upstairs. Menu is very varied with lots to choose from and specials of the day. It's good value and the panini's we had were very tasty and served with salad and coleslaw. There is also a large selection of cakes and scones if you just want a snack. We also had a large pot of tea to which they kindly added an extra bag! Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly.
Stopped by here while boating on the Broads. Had a spot of lunch with the family, great sandwiches and English brekkie. However fruit scones with a touch of cinnamon was an absolute game changer for me, tasted amazing. Will be sure to stop by again next time we are passing this way.
Been here a few times. A couple of breakfasts and lunch. The coffee and food is always good. Excellent English breakfast, light snakes & homemade cakes. One point which makes this cafe outstanding is the staff. They are well trained happy smiling and polite, and for a bunch of mainly youngsters is really refreshing these days. Would highly recommend, they do get really busy but you can book too
I thoroughly enjoyed the food service and atmosphere of this establishment. Meeting with my friends and having a comfortable experience was relaxing. Even more enjoyable I was eating out with friends and him indoors had to fend for himself. The waitresses were up and down the stairs never complaining and dealing with our requests effortlessly. Thank the staff for looking after us.
I won't recommend going here. The service isn't good. We went for a tea and cake. I ordered a scone with tea, only the tea was delivered, after a few minutes waiting for my scone I asked and they said "sorry, we run out". It would have been nice to know earlier. After a lovely tea, we went to pay and realised that they over charged us. I don't think I will go back.
Got caught out by the weather on a ride! Stopped her fur respite. Ended up staying to eat one of their special snacks- bagel and stuff... did selection was perfect but i think the young staff took pity on an aging wet cyclist on a Sunday and we're super welcoming, thank you! Building was unusual design with multi floors with fantastic views of River and Park. Actually, would stop for a coffee and cake if passing by just to get their biscoff millionaire cake- which was perfect to get me back on the road after rain had stopped!
Excellent place to stop off for food and drink. I had the Whitebait and salad. My friend had the ham egg chips and peas all very good. Will definitely come again. Friendly staff.Food: 5/5
Quaint little tea room, very informal and a quite bitty with a variety of tables over three levels. Very tasty cake and decent portion sizes. Good variety of food.Food: 4/5
The staff are super friendly here and welcomed us straight away and allowed us to bring in our dog. We had a milkshake each and a millionaires slice and a coconut and apricot cake, both of which were the right balance between rich and fluffy and very fairly priced for the size of the pieces. You can tell these are beautifully homemade. They even let me add a syrup to my milkshake to make it a little different. We had a voucher to use which is why we went in the first place but liked it so much that we ended up keeping the voucher to use it for another time to try out their tasty sounding lunch menu.
