Great service for camera repairs and cleaning in Glasgow, highly recommend it!  David is wonderful to talk to and very helpful with getting our Nikon DSLR cleaned properly for fairly cheap prices. The process only took 1/2 hours and there was no appointment booking required.   Do note that it's located on the 5th floor of central chambers, so I recommend taking the lift from the left entrance.

Absolutely brilliant service from this company.4 years ago I dropped my brand new Canon 5D mk iv onto the ground with no lens, it was on a tripod and the wind caught it! Sent it to them and they cleaned it and fixed a small problem for a very reasonable cost. Today I lost autofocus whilst in any mode other than Program and after talking to one of the guys there he worked out that I had done a setting wrong whilst setting up back focus, told me what to do very patiently and sorted it. Very impressive knowledge and good to have such a place to go to sort camera problems. Thank you.

Great Service, took my Nikon SLR and lens in on the Friday and Picked the Body upon Monday Morning. Lens needs a good clean will take a little longer. Although I doubt that the service will be any different. Easy, friendly and good price for the service needed. If you need your camera looked at I would highly recommend these guys.

Michael and his associates have just this morning helped a very distressed Aussie on holidays.  His team were so kind friendly, knowledgeable and fixed my lens diaphragm assembly and gave a good clean and updated firmware too. Excellent camera repair in Glasgow!  The advance lever on our film camera got damaged while we were visiting the city and in the middle of our vacation, we were so worried that something had broken internally and that the pictures we were going to take on the rest of the trip wouldn’t develop properly.  We stopped in the shop and they were extremely kind and friendly, they were quick to show us that the lever was fine and just needed to be tightened. They tightened it up for us and even gave us a quick lesson on how all the internals worked - all free of charge!  They wouldn’t even accept a tip, so incredibly generous!  Thank you so much AJ Johnston and Co for saving our vacation photos!

I managed to fall down hill and land on my camera, breaking my favourite  lens. Thankfully, I've used this company for years, and i know you get a great honest service. Its the emergency service for photographers kit.  I usually post my kit to be fixed or serviced, but I'm so glad I made it in.  I had a lovely chat with the owner David and loved hearing all about the history of the business. I have my lens back, and it's as good as new.

I can't recommend David and the team at A.J Johnstone enough. I am a wedding videographer and I've had to use their services a few times over the years. They are always quick to respond and keep you informed of shipping times of parts etc so there are no surprises. They always do a stellar job and check over your equipment thoroughly before giving it back to you. Very trustworthy guys and I would recommend them to anyone with any camera issues! We’ve been here twice now. The first time many years ago was for a complicated light meter replacement on a vintage Nikon - they did a great job. The second time was today, when they helped extract a stuck battery on a modern Canon - they removed the battery, checked the compartment and made sure it was working fine, gave us some advice and didn’t charge us. An excellent company, don’t hesitate to go here if you need a camera repair of any type.

Visited to ask about a broken camera. They were so genuinely helpful, offering lots of free information which allowed me to make an informed decision about whether to pay for a repair / buy a new camera. Thank you!
