Lovely service by Ben, food was delicious and had a very nice ambience, would recommend and return. I had the chicken skewers with saffron mayo and the vanilla panna cotta with honeycomb and chocolate sauce. Very nice triple cooked chips as well.
Good meal on a Saturday evening. Food was fresh and well prepared but I did find the menu limited and with some unusual combinations. Highlight of the meal was the excellent dessert. We found the upstairs restaurant area a little warm and could have done with a bit more ventilation. Staff polite, attentive and professional. Definitely recommend booking in advance. Limited parking across the road.

Went for the lunch time meal which was excellent value at £11.95, albeit it with a £6 supplement for the steak. Steak was a bit over for me but chips were excellent and the size of roasties. Gravalax was lovely and plentiful.
Have always enjoyed the food at 81, but had dinner there recently and a bit disappointed that the triple cooked chips that came with the steak appeared to be frozen ones? I love chips, but only ate a few as very dry…
Lovely meal here after booking for a Monday night. We shared a meat platter to start with followed by a small rump steak and fish in a caper sauce for my wife. All the food was well cooked, well presented and served efficiently by the staff. I would recommend anyone staying in Deal to eat here.
We went for lunch under the current offer, the restaurant understandably was quite busy which made the service a little slow, given the amount of staff, who were extremely charming but rushed off their feet, poor things. Anyway the food was most acceptable, and the atmosphere very nice, well worth the visit.Food: 4/5
We had popped in to see if they had a table as we hadn’t booked and they were very accommodating. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Steaks were cooked to perfection and chips were amazing! Kid-friendliness: Having just been turned away from another restaurant because we had children under 8 we were happy that No81 could accommodate us. Lots of other families with children also eating happily here. Kids menu standard kids offer so ideal.
Food absolutely delicious x birthday meal for other half said was best pork belly dish ever! Good veggie/vegan options I had cod not set lunch menu x lovely ambience! attentive friendly efficient staff and covid safe
