If you fancy an average tasting overpriced meal in Windsor, look no further. Didn't expect much from the menu, but for £14 plus a service charge you'd expect their portions to provide a little more. Substantially better food close by, a shame that this restaurant can't attract more custom with better prices.
I ordered Sichuan Vegan Chicken and I received vegan prawn. This was the wrong item. Also when we called the store to see where our order is which was late, the staff in the store was rude. Instead of apologising for the food being late, they tried to justify themselves by saying that the store is far away. Regardless of the distance, the food was still late and there was poor customer service. Also, they tried to justify the fact that we got the wrong item by saying that the vegan prawn and vegan chicken are 'the same.' this is not true. If this was the case then why would you sell the same product under two different names? Overall, my experience with this place was not good and I would not recommend this place.
The food is authentic and delicious. The team always provided us with great customer service. If you don't fancy going out, they offer take away.
I’m not a huge fan of Chinese food based on meat quality. The meat here was great. I was very impressed. I bought the chicken udon and the spicy pork ribs were meaty and delicious. The service was impeccable and staff were very accomodating. My new Chinese place to go.
It's OK. But definitely not worth the long delivery wait, the extortionate delivery charge and the high prices. Reply: Thanks for your response. I don't think a £10 delivery charge is 'fair' considering the short delivery distance though. It definitely doesn't cost even a quarter of that in petrol, so your markup is going to be insane. Out of curiosity where are you ranked 'the best dining restaurant in town'? I've not been able to find information to confirm that claim anywhere. Like I said, I think you're okay not bad, not mind blowing. I disagree that you're 'totally different from what a normal takeaway offer' though. You are a normal takeaway, that's my point.
Super impressed with the authentic Sichuan dishes here. The twice cooked braised pork and fish fragrant eggplant were absolutely delicious and reminded me of home. The care the restaurants takes in the dining experience is definitely noticeable through the beautiful plating and decor. Our server was also attentive and nice. Happy to discover this spot in Windsor and will definitely come back the next time I visit.
I love this No MSG Chinese. Has an enormous menu and I wonder how the chefs are able to manage. I order from the vegetarian menu and usually just get vegetable dishes, tofu or noodles. I usually wouldn’t go for imitation prawns or fish or anything like that because I don’t think many places can get that right. I wouldn’t go to any other Chinese, especially because of the MSG policy which I think says a lot about the restaurant overall. I usually end up spending £70 minimum for a family of 4.
We love China Kitchen in the first time, because brilliant waitress, excellent service and advice, too busy and good environment and old tutor and clean rooms..Beautiful and delicious Chinese meal. . Very friendly and full.of smiles..We will go there again. It is our best one!
I ordered duck fried rice and a Dim sum platter for £33. I like to eat out regularly and often order in, eat in nice restaurant. I am willing to spend money on good food. This is off the scale abysmal. 5 pieces of dim sum for £18 and the scabiest duck rice you have ever seen. Happy to share photos. Do not buy from here!
Great overall evening, took the mrs and we really felt like we were taken back to some traditional Chinese restaurant. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious. Will certainly be returning hopefully this week again! 1000% recommend to anyone wanting an authentic Chinese experience.
