Came here with my wife for the boxing day event. After we'd booked we then saw the reviews and were second guessing going My wife is mixed raced covered in tattoos so we were a little on edge after reading the racist reviews but decided to still give it a chance. So glad we did as we had the best night 95 percent of people in there that evening were people of colour including some of the staff and all the bar team that evening and everyone seemed to be having a great time. We met so many lovely people and made so many new friends. The bar staff were beautiful and a whole vibe. We met lateysha Grace who was one of the hosts that evening and we've followed her on social media for years so was lovely to meet her in person. Overall had an amazing evening and will Definitely be booking more events here soon
The sound in this place is one of the best I've heard. The mixer and decks were a bit dodgy.. Mixer had buttons missing and the jog wheel on one deck was faulty.. apart from that, dope place..
If I could give no stars I would. I definitely do NOT recommend this night club at all. Doesn’t pay staff. I did a 5 hour shift and I’ve been asking where my pay check has been for the past month. The owner has been ignoring my texts and looks like I’m not going to be paid. I am a student who drove an hour to help out at this night club and got home at 5AM, I left my usual work shift early, I paid the £25 clear air zone to drive through Birmingham with the additional expenses of parking. I also received a £35 fine which was my own fault point being I spent a lot of money to travel and help out, I needed the extra cash which is why I even did it in the first place. I am very upset and I would not recommend this club to anybody, the place was overcrowded and there are many, many reports of the staff being racist.
After ignoring are the reviews and news articles about this horrible place we went to 101 the other day after being in Acadian, one of the most racist and classist places I’ve ever seen, they made us pay £20 at the door and then told us we can’t get in, and refused a refund!!! Not acceptable!!! Furthermore that blamed our trainers and told us that we are too “poor” to get in, even though there was people with the same trainers who had already entered! At one point the bouncer told one friend of the group “you don’t even look like have enough money to feed your self, you don’t belong here” We remained calm and polite, at which point one specific bouncer threatened to “rip our throats out” All the guys were made to pay £20 while the girls were let in for free even though we had the table. We will never return here again, even if it was the last place in the UK. There are may better places. If I could give 0 out of 5 starts I would.
Racist club. Ive seen them make poc wait while while girls get in easily. The security guys inside the club was trying to touch me in an appropriate way and when i faced him he asked me to leave saying “this is my club” the whole time he’s just a security guy. Also sold us tickets for Offset party but offset didnt show up. We need our refund back you racist thieves !!!!!
The most racist night club ever. If you are a black woman don’t even bother trying to get in they will refuse your entry even though you have put your name through the guest list. The owner himself is racist and considering he is a black man? A dark skin one at fact it doesn’t make sense! My dearest friend experienced a horrible night which ended in tears and the official page itself glorifies white women and mixed women which is distasteful especially in this day and age. The owners keep deleting comments about this situations which clearly shows how guilty they are. WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED if I could I would give this club a FAT ZERO do better
Incredibly racist to anyone who isn't white. Multiple experiences have come to light where Asian women, brown women, and darkskin Black women aren't allowed inside. They say the wait time is 2 hours even if your name is on the list, or they'll make you wait outside while they let white women pass right by and go in while you stand in the cold. It's DISGUSTING. I recommend NO ONE go there. White, Black, Asian...stop supporting this venue.
I visited there expecting a nice night out, but unfortunately wasn't let in the bar due them looking at me and my friends who are all Asian and made excuses about what we were wearing to refuse to let us in. How sexist to dictate that women should wear heels and not smart flat shoes. This policy is ridiculous. Also discrimination considering that I'm unable to physically wear heels. Glad we went to snobs instead as it looked so dead in 101, happy for snobs to accept our money instead.
Me and 8 of my friends experienced racism when attempting to enter this club on my 21st birthday. The security made derogatory and demeaning comments about the dark skinned ladies who were with me and refused them entry based on how they look whilst we watched white ladies walking past and entering. Shocking! Rating each individual woman out of 10 in order to gain entry is absolutely disgusting. I still cannot believe this happened!
DO NOT WASTE YOURE MONEY I booked this club for me and 6 of my friends for my birthday. I booked it 5 weeks in advance. To get to the club and be given a scabby 2 seater sofa as the ‘booth’. Even though I clearly stated there was 7 guests and asked for a booth and was told I was getting a booth. Paid £200 to not even be able to sit everyone down. The table next to us had about 12 girls and they was also given a 2 seater sofa. We was the first ones at the club so I asked couldn’t we swap and have one of the bigger booths to actually fit us all in and was told they’re booked up from people who are spending £1500. I’ll never book this place ever again. Wish I looked at the reviews online before booking as they’re all just as bad.
