Went here for my sons birthday breakfast! The service was quite slow and the waitress looked a little flustered to be honest. She was very polite. But as there was only 3 tables seated including ours we seemed to wait a long time for our order to be taken and then another long wait to receive our food. However it was worth the wait. The French toast was the best I’ve ever tasted we got the breakfast share platter. They put extra waffles on for my son which was massively appreciated and very thoughtful. The venue itself is stunning inside. The entrance is beautifully lined with flowers. The kitchen area is open and impressive. And the decor is immaculate. We will definitely be visiting again for breakfast and will most likely go to try the dinner menu as well Oh I’ll add that there is plenty paid parking right outside on the street. So you don’t have to walk far to enjoy the Zouk experience Parking: There plenty on street parking. Conveniently right outside the restaurant.
I recently hosted an event at my home and had Zouk cater for us. Not only was the price per head as affordable as a finger buffet, it was fresh, so tasty and travelled perfectly. The team came to set up around 30-40 minutes before we were due to eat, and I was so shocked at the quality of the set up. Everything was put over flames to ensure it stayed warm. The dishes they were served in looked traditional, while keeping things warm at the same time. The sheer amount of food we got was incredible. The portion sizes they’d worked out per person were more than generous and our guests absolutely loved it. We got a variety of foods to suit a variety of dietary requirements we had at the event and everyone was really impressed. I will definitely be using it again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it either.
The was an amazing meal. We began the meal with hummus and dynamite shrimp, and the for the mains we had lamb laziz. Lamb Laziz - This is the nicest lamb curry i have ever had. the lamb was so tender and flavoursome, and there was a fair amount of meat in the dish. The sauce was also amazing, we ordered it hot and it was served at a great level of spice. We ordered pilau rice, chips, and garlic naan to compliment the curry. The naan was lovely, very tasty and a great size perfect for sharing. the chips and rice were very nice complimented the curry well, as well and the mint sauce. Dynamite Shrimp - oh my gawd. i would happily come to this restaurant for the dynamite shrimp alone. I have never had such nice shrimp in my life. they are served in the most beautiful sauce. This is one dish that you HAVE to try at least once in your life. 10/10 from me. Hummis - The hummus was very nice. it was served with naan bread, and carrot and cucumber sticks. the naan was very small, about a quarter of the size of a normal naan. I would have liked it to be a little bigger, but it was very tasty. The carrot and cucumber sticks did not taste as freshly cut as i think they could have been, but they were still a very nice addition to the dish. The customer seville was impeccable. we had cocktails throughout the night which were all amazing. The service was very fast too, and the atmosphere was incredible. we had a lovely night, and i will be returning.
Absolutely 5 star, our first time here for Sunday lunch and the sharing platter for 4 was excellent. The 3 meats were each one beautifully cooked, moist and succulent with just a hint of spice. The potatoes and vegetables were gorgeous and the cauliflower cheese just scrumptious. The staff are friendly, helpful and so pleasant. We were too full for deserts but it was impolite not to partake and how glad we were that we did. Please book, a truly exceptional restaurant whose owner is a delight and his staff are a credit too him Kid-friendliness: The owner came and sat with us and was so friendly and kind to our Grandaughter, this restaurant is a gem in the heart of Manchester
I came here because I was given a leaflet to try out their FOOD FOR FREE. This is just my genuine judgement of this restaurant. Came to the restaurant. I wasn't greeted straight away as there was no one there. I had to speak to the chef so someone would come to me. The customer service isn't the best but that doesn't matter as I came to try out their food. I ordered a caramel latte had the Halal full English breakfast. The drink and the food was pretty good. The reason I gave 4 stars for the food is because I personally find the portion size a little small and the waiting time was also very long as well. If you have a lot of patience then this restaurant is for you. When I paid for the bill, the gentleman explained that that latte is £3.50 and the caramel syrup is £2.00. I was very astonished, as I understand that usually you get charged extra for things like this but it's usually like 50p extra, you know. I wasn't expecting £2 for just caramel syrup. Maybe it's because this is a restaurant not a Caffè. But yeah, this is my overall review. Maybe I am being too mean. But other people can be the judge of this place.
I saw the restaurant just exploring the area and decided to go in for lunch. The food was really good as well as the service. The manager did regular quality check ins. They even gave me a birthday dessert. I definitely recommend!Food: 5/5
Lovely food their naan were so fresh , Hakka noodles were delicious and their curries were flavourful. The restaurant had a vibrant atmosphere, they had quick service with decently sized portions of everything. Bonus point for the NHS discount and the owner of the restaurant was very attentive to everyone making sure we were all enjoying ourselves and making the time to have a nice conversation with us at the end also !
Not going to lie, online photos of the place made me go there and I wasn’t disappointed. Beautiful decor, great ambiance although can get quite noisy. Food was fab, very tasty. Minus one star because the service was poor. Waited almost 40 minutes for food that came with some orders coming another 10 minutes later.Food: 5/5
The place looks amazing, there is air conditioning inside and you have the choice to sit outside as well. Service was great as well. HOWEVER, the main important thing the food was not so great. I got the king prawn coconut curry and the portion was really small considering it was £16, I got about 4 prawns and the curry didn’t taste anything like coconut. I had to take it back to put more coconut milk in but even then, it just wasn’t great. The rice had too much cumin in as well but maybe that’s my preference. I have been to other Indian, Pakistani restaurants before with cheaper prices, bigger portions and more taste. Considering it looked really nice and the atmosphere was nice, the food did not meet the same standards and I was quite disappointed. I usually get a to-go if I haven’t finished my food but I couldn’t see myself finishing the curry later on.
First time visiting zouk tea bar and grill for my sisters 40th birthday brunch… This whole place was a vibe the moment we stepped in!!! The ambience and atmosphere was warm, aesthetically pleasing and very inviting. All the food we ordered was delicious and presented to a very high standard and the service provided by shebhanghi was impeccable. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back soon xxx Parking: We arrived at 11:30am on a Thursday and there was ample paid street parking available for a very reasonable price, but I think if you came in the evenings, it would be difficult to find parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs
