I've been many, many times over recent years, for various DIY projects, never had any rudeness from Zak or his family, just knowledgeable and try to help me with what I need.
Whenever I need something for DIY I go to Zac,s it looks like someone has thrown a grenade inside but they always have what I want and they gladly show you where it is ,great little business

Great little shop full of useful things for the building trade and general diyers. Prices are reasonable and the people that run it are friendly and very knowledgeable.
Completely jam-packed independent DIY store. It's a bit chaotic, but you can get ANYTHING you need there for your DIY needs. Good prices too.

So after having to ask where stuff is i commented how expensive it was to my freind to which the owner sticking his nose in i was told if i didnt like the price i should go to poundland to which i said excuse me how dare u speak to a customer like that to then have my freind told to take me out of the shop as if i was a child to be ordered around he was so arrogant and belittling he needs to sort that shop out before someone has an accident tripping over stock very poor customer service
A treasure trove for anything DIY. If you need it, they've generally got it. I always use Zak's for bits and bobs as it's only in walking distance from my house. Very helpful and friendly staff, they will always find what you want. I also feel it's good to support your small local businesses, especially during this current time.
