My new favourite local Indian restaurant. The medium hot curry with mango is absolutely amazing and the staff are friendly without being too pretentious like some restaurants. Overlooked I think because not right on the main Nork strip.. but worth 20 seconds extra walk!
DON'T TEXT ME If left to myself to review our takeaway from this restaurant, I probably would have reviewed them fairly favourably. The food was ok, but not stunning, and some decent flavours. However, being sent a long text including the restaurant's name and address and a very long number presumably my order number to my home phone number, urging me to go online and give them a review is out of order. I have gone online, and given you a review. I recommend you avoid this restaurant unless you want them interrupting your life with texts for reviews.
The first time eating here. What a fantastic experience. Friendly and courteous staff, delicious food and a great atmosphere. I eat regularly in East London and this matches the taste and quality. We will return again. I would encourage local people to try this fabulous restaurant.
Dont know what happened tonight. Ordered anniversary takeaway online. Got email saying they were delivering to the wrong address Got some kind of spinach chicken instead of chicken passanda. Phoned and told would be with me in 10 mins then didn't turn up Worst bit, daughter a vegan , bit into a vegetable pakora to find that it was chicken Enough said...
Ordered a Delivery on a Monday night and something is missing on the order. You then phone the restaurant and they refuse to deliver the missing item they then tell u the driver has gone home.. So u drive to the restaurant to find the restaurant empty and both the person who u spoke with on the phone and the delivery driver in the restaurant caught red handed I was the told it’s all the customers fault .. So I left the food with them because they wouldn’t say sorry or give me the 95p chutney as an apology .. ADVISE to anyone thinking of ordering drive pass don’t order from these guys they don’t like customers!!!!!! And if u order something and it’s wrong expect the manager to have a fight over 95p
Visited Zaika last month for the first time. My wife and I noticed the restaurant whilst driving passed and decided to give it a try. I WAS SHOCKED at how amazing this hidden gem was! The food which for me is most important was honestly among the best tasting curry i’ve ever had. The ambience, service, warmth & parking were even more of a bonus. I told the manager i’ll be leaving him a review after my 3rd visit, just to be sure. Please do not change anything, 3 visits in a month should tell you everything.
FOOD POISONING!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! We had a takeaway in Oct 18 and throughout the night and whole day both me and my mum have been violently sick and diarrhoea! When we called them today they couldn’t care less. Totally oblivious of what we was saying. Trying to say it wasn’t their food! We wouldn’t both have the same symptoms otherwise!!! RUDE AND ARROGANT MANAGER!! We have involved environmental health now so I hope they get a visit soon.
Fantastic Indian restaurant, and the staff are amazing. The owner always greets us by name, and asks about our family and friends. Fantastic food and service doesn't get any better than this. A real gem.
While the food can sometimes be excellent, it can also be poor..but the one constant is the terrible takeaway service. Left on hold till either someone can be bothered or is capable of taking your order. Told it would be ready in 30min..when it actually took nearly a hour...standing around for more than 30min isn't how I want to spend my evening.
As a vegan, Zaika has an array of delicious dishes - from starters to mains to sides - which beautifully satisfy my palate. Furthermore, the manager and waiters are very courteous and professional. I commend Zaika to all lovers of Indian cuisine.
