Stayed here on a visit to watch a West End Show in London. Great location, about a 3 Minute Walk from the Dominion Theatre. Staff were lovely and checked us in swiftly. The room was on the first floor, it was snug with a small bathroom surround my mainly opague glass....I did NOT like that at all! The bed was very comfy, not that you can sleep much as it was very noisy from the street below until 4am!!!! We got free wine and cheese as 'Z' members, which was a lovely touch. The breakfast was nice, not a huge variety but was lovely all the same. Walkability: Tottenham Court Road tube station is within a 3 minute walk and you can go anywhere from there! There is a lot to see, do and eat in the immediate surrounding area.
Excellent place to stop if you want to be in the centre of London at a reasonable price. Very clean and tidy. Rooms, although small, were clean and well presented. Location was excellent for the theatres and just a short walk to Oxford Street and Leicester Square.
We stayed 1 night and switched to the W hotel as the room just wasn’t comfortable. We saw the pictures online + the location and wanted to give it a go, but unfortunately the room was rundown with a leaking stinky airco. If we showered the room was humid, there was practically no air circulating and the airco was practically out of order. The toilet was also made for tiny people… The staff being so kind made it that much more heartbreaking to let them know we wanted to checkout after only 1 night and were not interested in a different room. I was told a manager would reach out, but they haven’t 2 weeks after our stay.
I gave 1 star for the location and 1 star for the staff. They were very kind and willing to help. The rooms are extremely small—about the size of a standard walk-in closet. There’s barely any space to move around, no place for luggage, and no basic amenities like a telephone, minibar, or safe. There’s no closet, and no place to put your clothes—just one hanger over the coffee station, which is neither safe nor comfortable. The bed is right next to the toilet, separated only by glass walls, making it very uncomfortable. We had to leave the room whenever one of us used the bathroom due to the lack of privacy. The shower floods the entire bathroom, making it unusable afterward. I’m surprised they even got a permit from the fire department to sell these as rooms. It feels unsafe and dangerous in case of an emergency, with poor ventilation making the room stuffy within 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the rooms are so small that it’s hard to even call them rooms. I would not stay again or recommend. Nearby activities: The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to major attractions like the British Museum, Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus, and Trafalgar Square. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby. It’s an ideal spot for exploring London! However, if you stay over the weekend, be prepared for some noise—the rooms can be very noisy, especially on Saturday nights, with the noise continuing until 3 a.m. Walkability: The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to explore everything London has to offer. We walked 60,000 steps in just three days!
I usually stay at a different Z hotel when I visit London and have always enjoyed my stay, so I thought I would give Soho Z hotel a try. The staff in reception and the cafe were professional and welcoming, a real credit to the hotel. The location, close to 'theatre land' was really convenient. However, the single room I had was extremely small and the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. My room room 305 was very noisy and the hotel should consider putting in secondary glazing in those overlooking the busy main road. There were also rumbling noises from the nearby tube station which didn't help matters. There was a gap between the headboard and the bathroom which was too small to be properly cleaned and was full of dust which gave the room a less than fresh smell. The bathroom was very clean.
Couples beware. The stars are for the staff. They were fantastic but the rooms the z claims are for 2 are ABSOLUTELY not. The toilet faces the bed and is 2 feet away. It’s separated by thin translucent glass that will not close with a human in the room. There is no room for suitcases. No fridge. No phone. Minimal hanging space. The door keys had to be replaced multiple times. Again the staff was great about it. The noise outside on a weeknight was awful. Rickshaws with blaring music ever 10 road by. Some heavier windows could have fixed this issue. Overall a very disappointing experience for the equivalent of $500 Canadian dollars. Rooms: Too small for two Nearby activities: Tons Walkability: Excellent
Staff are very friend. Location is wonderful writing the heart of London. This hotel is hustle hotel style What I don’t like that there is no lobby to chilling And no wardrobe to put your clothes, but everything else is pretty good clean and friendly, but however I noticed one pillows on the bed bedding
I picked this hotel for the location. The rooms are little more than closets with no where to put anything except a tiny cubbie under the bed. You cannot turn around in the bathroom. Most importantly, the hotel has some obvious plumbing issues as my shower didn't drain. Less than 5 minutes of water running and the bottom filled and was flowing into the rest of the tiny space. To complete the shower, I had to keep turning the water off as i washed my hair, then turn it back on to rinse. I mentioned at the front desk and was told someone would come check - I took all of my stuff out of the way and left but no one came. I mentioned it a 2nd time as I overheard another guest with the same complaint and it still didn't get taken care of at the time. I was told by one gentleman at the desk that he would find a way to make up for it. Finally, on my last morning, it took longer for the shower to overflow but I still had to hurry or turn the water off at times to allow it to drain. The staff were all quite polite whenever I interacted with them. Definitely not worth the cost. The consolation that was offered was that they made a note so that the next time I stayed with them, they'd make sure the stay was pleasant.
In the center of it all! Literally 15 steps from the front of the Harry Potter theatre, a bit of a walk from Tottenham or Leicester Tube stops. Clean, comfortable, cozy rooms. We didn't eat the breakfast - lots of restaurants and a Sainsburys nearby. Rather noisy on Fri/Sat nights, but if you're staying out late yourself you won't notice, right? Walkability: Easy walk to everything in Soho, Covent Garden
Staff so sweet & helpful from the moment we dropped our bag in early, when we checked into the room, when we had the cheese & wine, when we brought extra drinks, breakfast & checkout. Was my husbands 50th birthday I let them know the day before when had to call about something else. They left a bottle of wine & swan towels on the bed and made special effort laminating a happy 50th birthday sign. When we checked in we were told about complimentary cheese & wine 17:00-20:00 which was lovely! Could take it back to room aswell. Breakfast wasn’t a cooked breakfast but ham, cheese, bread, yogurt, fried fruit, cereal & pastrys. The rooms are small but absolutely fine for the night, booked a queen room but the bed was only double. I did check with staff when checked out but assured me was queen room ‍Bed nice and comfortable so not a problem. Couldn’t have got closer to the palace theatre unless slept at the theatre itself. China town a short walk away. Numerous tube stations a short walk away, newsagents a couple of doors down from hotel for snacks
