Located right at on the station concourse. Typical Spoons. Nice atmosphere, staff are great, you can sit and have dinner or lunch or breakfast and watch the trains.
Large spoons connected to railway station, good outside space on what was railway platforms. Good hot food,but one of the more expensive due to location. Just around the corner from here is retail park with 3 hour free parking. Spoons is quite noisy due to size of seating area.
Been going for nearly 4 years as a student, has been solid about every time. The food can vary in qualify depending on what you get, though I've never been disappointed by anything here except the paninis. Do reccommend the lasagna or pasta. The dessert portions are very, very small, however, especially compared to its neighbor, Athro Lounge, which has a comparable price. The food can be on the pricey side overall, but some of the aforementioned options such as the curries and pastas can be cheaper than, say, burgers. The free refills on coffee is also quite nice.nnIt's a popular spot for students, especially on holidays, so you're unlikely to ever see it empty or not busy to some degree. However, the staff are quick, and the spaces usually plenty. The bathrooms are also quite nice, large enough to generally avoid a queue and upstairs from the diner, so it's quiet. The place is also very clean.nnRight next to the train station, so makes for a nice place to wait for people incoming or before a departure.nnSolid 8/10. Never had a negative experience aside from it being very loud, so bring headphones if you're sensitive to that! Would label at £1-10, as I spent about £9 for a pasta and a coffee most recently, but most dishes are £10+
Cheap place to grab some drinks and foods good with a lot of options that even I, as a picky eater, managed to find something myself. Lovely deserts that are sometimes the reason why I choose to come here aside from the cheap alcohol. Everything can have a bit of a wait but I'm patient so that doesn't bother me. It's busy on holidays and student nights but personally I try to avoid the busier times cause I struggle with the noise and the crowd. But it's a nice place to go with lovely staff.
Breakfast pretty decent, although they wouldn't allow me to swap out the tomatoes for toast as most other Wetherspoons do.nCider Black Dragon and Old Rosie were available, but not in the usual boxed form, instead they were on a pull which destroys the taste.nAll other Wetherspoons I have ever been in keep these two STILL ciders in their original boxes from Westons.
