Visited today and had lunch there jacket potato beans and cheese really nice. My wife is vegan she had a vegan pastee which took absolutely ages to come well over half an hour. Had a little walk around the store very nice good quality products but I thought a little expensive.nStill it was a nice afternoon out.
Spent my Dads 77th birthday lunch here. What can I say?!? The food as always was exemplary, bacon and Brie panini - chefs kiss!!, all the staff are amazing but a huge shout out to Shelley the kitchen assistant manager. She organised for a table to be decorated for my dad, and brought out a cake for him. She and some staff members then sang happy birthday to him. Can’t tell you how much that made his day. Thank you so muchnnHonestly I would recommend this place in a heartbeat, the food is always amazing and they always go above and beyond. A*****
Very pleasant garden centre. Good selection of plants, even those on the sale's table looked healthy, plus gardening sundries and gifts. Some plants available in biodegradable pots grown peat free. Cafe has a good selection of food including vegetarian options and loads of seating.
Interesting Dining Experience at Alver Valley Garden Centre! nnWe had an incredible lunch experience today at the Alver Valley Garden Centre with a twist of technology! Since our last visit Alver Valley has has installed a technological game-changing dining experience.nnInstead of the usual approach of ordering food and taking a number to display on the table, which results in someone having to walk around and around to find you, we were introduced to a smart RFID tracker system that revolutionises the way orders are processed, and food is delivered.nnThe process was seamless, and incredibly efficient.nnHere's how it worked: upon arrival, we selected our food, handed it to the staff to heat and add any additional ingredients. Upon paying, we were given a small tracker see images. The magic happens when you find your preferred spot to sit at from the wide range of seating options available, and notice a label on the table. The label simply states ‘Place Tracker Here’.nnOnce you place the tracker given to you when paying on this clearly labeled spot, an audible beep and flash of blue lights occurs a second or two later. This is confirmation of placement ad sends a signal back o the system to identify your location. Just just like that, your order is in motion! nnDespite moving around to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, our food was magically delivered to the correct table without a hitch or any need an Alver Valley staff member hunting around tables to to find us, or a identify a number on a wooden spoon.nnThe combination of great food, good weather, and this futuristic dining concept, which is reminiscent of the dining experience in Disney World, was truly memorable. It was a delightful blend of nature and technology! nnIf you're looking for a good dining experience, which seamlessly merges technology and convenience, I highly recommend a visit to Alver Valley. It's an experience you might take in your stride, or like me you’ll find it interesting from a technological point of view!nnThis is a step change in the customer experience, and a benefit to the business with staff not wasting time hunting down tables.nnAside from the updated approach to how food is delivered using these smart trackers, it is worth noting Alver Valley is dog friendly, there is a great selection of Gluten Free food items, and there is a children’s play area too. All this on top of the wide range of items available from plants to pants, which should cater for most visitors needs.nnNot forgetting the staff. They are always friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We will be back - well actually the better half is again visiting tomorrow with friends and family.
Being a Dutch national, I consider the prices overall quite reasonable. Big variety of plants, garden tools and ornaments available. Especially loved the water features. Enjoyed nice coffee and a bite in the restaurant.
