I don’t often leave reviews but I have just left the garden centre and feel compelled to. My Mum and I just had an outstanding visit. The service we received was outstanding and very helpful, particularly from John. We were also helped by Pauline. Every member of staff we spoke to was so happy, friendly and helpful. What a cheerful knowledgeable bunch! The garden centre is very well stocked and clean and tidy with reasonable prices. My Mum tells me the cafe is lovely though I didn’t visit this time myself. Excellent. I have not been asked by the staff or garden centre to leave a review.
Have just come back from your cafe and was so disappointed in the service. Had a sausage roll and a portion of chips. Asked if the sausage roll and chips could come out together and was abruptly told no. Excuse was that they were so busy it could not be done. Why is it that you can get sausage roll and chips together anywhere else. By the time the chips came the sausage roll was cold. The attitude of some of the staff seems to be like it or lump it. Service has really deteriorated and prices have gone up. Definitely will not be going there for any meals again
A relaxing place to visit, whether you have something specific in mind,or just browsing.nWell cared for plants, also staff who are really knowledgeable on all aspects of plant care, and are really happy to help.nI always meet friends in the restaurant , their meals are delicious, and with a dog friendly area, they cater for everyone .
Only criticism is that the food and drink are ridiculously expensive - now £5 for one small slice of cake is ludicrous. Food and drink prices need to be dropped.nnOtherwise, its great place to be, fantastic quality of plants and lots of different things inside.
Visited today and had lunch there jacket potato beans and cheese really nice. My wife is vegan she had a vegan pastee which took absolutely ages to come well over half an hour. Had a little walk around the store very nice good quality products but I thought a little expensive.nStill it was a nice afternoon out.
