I've been coming to this place with my children for years, but this visit will be my last. Several years ago no charge to use the playbarn and reasonable prices for food. It now costs £3 per child to use the barn, on the proviso you have booked to eat a meal. That essentially means a minimum of £11 per child, per visit, if they want to play. I don't think I've seen a business in a good while that's been as successful in monetising each child who walks through the door. Choose local instead.
Great place for all! Yummy food in a fantastic American themed diner. It's a little pricey but to be honest you would struggle to find anywhere as good for less. I've been here many times as a family and with work and they never fail to impress me. The play areas are fantastic for kids and the play barns are genius! Ticks all round for these guys. I'd give them more stars if I could!
We had an ice cream van come to our offices for an afternoon. The young man who came with the van was delightful Faik he is Turkish polite, smiley and could not do enough for us. The ice cream is amazing!!! I have to admit I did try 3 different flavours out! Mint Choc Chip, Vanilla and Chocolate chip. OMG! Really had a brilliant afternoon and will do again with out a doubt. Thanks Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream!!
Went with my partner to Burnsall car park yesterday and was served by a lovely lady called Julia at your mobile yorkshire dales ice cream hut. Very polite, great custom and would happily return and be served by her again! Super helpful as well in describing all the flavors to us so we could choose which one we liked. Thank you to Julia!
I visited Malham Cove on Saturday with friends for a bit of a fitness walk. Upon leaving the car park we came across the Farmhouse ice cream van and with it being great weather and a long walk ahead we thought we would treatourselves to some ice cream. The girl serving was very polite and pleasant and we ordered 2 mint choc chip and 2 vanilla all with flakes. Was glad to see it was scooped and not the whippy made from piwder and cream that most use as it is terrible. A good serving too and you would think so too at over £3 each. 1st taste and was excited like a kid in a sweetshop. Rich vanilla with a good firm cold texture. I was raving about it for some time and even shared my delight on social media where I have a decent following. Todaysunday as the guys went to walk Ingleton falls, I decided to return to Malham with my wife and 2 of my adult children who know of my excitement of having the ice cream again. We parked and as passing the van I asked when the van would be leaving as we had packed a picnic and would treat ourselves after eating.. the polite young man said about 5. It was now 2.30pnm so we decided we would return. We did our thing and returned rather than carry on from the cliff top to the water fall which is some walk back to the van..passing the local ice cream bar to get to the van. It was 5.15pm. Was glad to see him still there. Ordered 2 mint choc chip and 2 vanilla all with flakes. The girls had gone to the loo and boy to the car to put the bags in the boot as we returned for the ice cream to then walk back to visit the waterfall. So just me at the van I got served the 1st icecream mint.. was a melt mush and I mentioned it was already melted and jus a slop. my hand was already covered in it dripping and having 4 ordered he thought best to charge me 1st. Then he said he would take the scoops from bottom of tubs. All four were melted mush and I mentioned this with both hands full and messy with drips of melted ice cream. He said it had been busy and the freezer lids had constantly been on and off the top. Ud expect ice cream to be sold in hot weather and have busy periods so fix the issue. I suggested he start the engine to power the freezers and asked if he actually had since 2pm when I stopped on way in. He just looked at me. I walked 100yds having already paid and not wanting to make a scene.. gave them to family who laughed at me due to all my raving and they all went in the bin. Terrible ice cream was my social media for Sunday. A real let down. We then went to the village shop and paid a further £15.. so that now becomes £30 for 4 ice creams. Nxt time I may dip my finger in the tubs bfre paying!
Had the joy of an ice cream at skipton car park on Thursday after a busy day of shopping. Had the delicious raspberry ripple as recommended by Holly, our server!
Don’t sell tubs of their ice cream anymore. This means it is impossible to get tubs of Yorkshire dales now. Pathetic. Who’s decision was that?
It pains me to even give on Star. Used to supply my business but shocking customer service. Changed supplier and response was to park outside my Shop illegally on double yellow lines causing an obstruction and trading without a permit in a malicious act with the sole intention to close me down. Also parks outside business illegally in Settle on Double Yellow Lines. Recipient of large grant and behave like the Icecream Godfather threatening small independent businesses. Beware avoid
Just bought an ice cream from your van in skipton outside bizzie lizzies. I asked for an extra tissue for my 94 year old mother, the girl said NO. For the price you charge for your ice creams i think it was rather mean. I will now never purchase another ice cream from you!
Me and my family came to Burnsall on Wednesday 2nd June 2020 for a nice day out we had a little trouble setting up our own dingy as our pump wasn’t working : we went over to the Yorkshire dale ice cream van where we saw a gentleman blowing up other dingys - we met an employee called Jordan helped us massively!! Both blowing up our dingy and helping us find our missing piece to help it stay afloat!! All with a huge smile on his face at the end of the day we treated ourselves to an ice cream which was gorgeous, whilst comparing our tan lines to the staff’s inside the van! Would highly recommend this company as they deliver amazing customer service and top notch treats!! Thank you
