Went on Saturday night. Staff were great and the food fresh and hot. However, the pub really needs a good clean! Especially considering Covid I would have expected it to be a lot cleaner. The windows and the carpets were grubby, there was lots of flies alive and dead and the light shades were thick with dust.
Another Wetherspoons more, nothing special and quite busy. Tonight it was full of young and loud people that didnt let us enjoy of the dinner. However I liked the Wales special menu and the beef and ale pie! Very good prices and good food in general.
Staff and atmosphere of york place has been fantastic friendly staff to 10/10

We had such a fabulous welcome in these difficult times , staff absolutely fab and social distance well observed meal lovely 2 will definitely be back enjoyed our afternoon oh and gins fab 2 xxx9

Excellent pub,friendly staff and all the usual spoons benefits.Vey impressed with their covid precautions,partitions are a great help and general standard of hygiene was excellent.
Food and service was good. A bit concerned that none of the serving staff had any face masks at all. Considering the distance from kitchen to tables can be a far walk passing other guests less than 2 meters away.
Not bad to have a cheapish meal, and a quick pint.
Great food,excellent value for money.Track and trace in place,and good safety measures,with online meal booking in place if desired.Well worth a visit.
