The most spectacular building to look at, it's a little expensive for me tk go inside but walking around the outside and seeing the detail, I can't describe how spectacular it is. Queen Elizabeth 2 is now on there too which was beautiful. We even had a picnic in the grounds on the grass on a sunny day. Was lovely
The most beautiful Minster/Cathedral in the North of England. Amazing architecture, incredible history going all the way back to the original Roman 71 AD. It costs £20 to enter but the tours are included. You can easily spend 3/4 hours in there so worth the money.
Superb! Such a beautiful building with tremendous history and so much to see. Joined the free tour included with admission ticket which was fantastic. Tour guide was so knowledgeable and really brought the history and detail to life. Other members of the family took the tower tour and thought it was worth the additional cost. Would highly recommend a visit to York Minster
One of the most significant buildings in Britain built to rival Canterbury in the South and made up of successive builds over the Saxon, Norman, and English periods. A perfect exemplar of English gothic design and possibly the oldest and most complete set of stain glass windows in the country.
Beautiful cathedral with a lot of displays in basement on the architecture and how they fixed it from sinking. My husband and older son went to the top for the view which was really cool also. I am very interested in architecture and an engineer by trade so it was super interesting for me. The amount of stained glass in this place wow.
