This is the third time I've had reason to visit the Yodel distribution centre in Alfreton. As ever, I had very pleasant interactions with the staff. Because of the early evening time off my arrival, there was nobody at the service desk. There was, however a phone and notice, directing people to call a specific extension for assistance.nnWhile waiting for my parcel to be brought to the service desk, a member of staff walked by and greeted me with a cheery hello. Several minutes later they were back, and this time also checked that I had used the phone to call for assistance and that somebody was on their way. I had, but given that it had taken me a few minutes to see the notice about calling which was in clear view, I'd just not been particularly observant on my arrival, I appreciated their taking a moment to check.nnMy parcel was brought up by a very polite and cheerful staff member. The service I received was fantastic.nnThe only bad point, was a delivery driver that arrived back while I was there. The site has a barrier controlled parking area for their vans and staff. It has a very clear 5mph sign as you enter. I was very disappointed to see the driver pass the barrier and accelerate sharply, well beyond 5mph. It was dark, and wet, and this Yodel driver showed zero concern for the safety of anybody else that may have been in the car park. If he is so comfortable breaking his employer's rules and site speed limit - in front of CCTV cameras on the company's own site - I can only imagine how poor his driving standard is when out on the road.
Where is our parcel says out for delivery since the 02/12/2024 and still not received yet the delivery instructions said our driver was 14 stops away on the 02/12/2024 yet has not turn up and there has been zero update since 02/12/2024 on our delivery update and I have tried web chat on yodel 4 times and no one has spoke back also I have tried phoning yodel direct and all it offers is my tracking details that say it’s out for delivery. So if we do not get a response from now until tomorrow I will class our parcel as stolen and I will take legal action against yodel. Lack of communication is disgusting lack of options for your customers when you call about your parcel is disgusting also and no other update on our parcel since 02/12/2024 is disgusting. I have also emailed through as a complaint.
Parcel was not to be left without a signature. Gave option of neighbour via the app. The absolute moron of a driver ignored the delivery instructions and sign and put through the gate next to the dog flap. If my young dog had got into that parcel it would have killed him. Absolute useless.
Delivery is RUBBISH.nThey gave me a 2 hour time slot for Wednesday 30th October, the parcel wasn’t delivered. I did web chat and they said it would be delivered next day. Thursday 2 hour time slot came and went, still no delivery. In both cases they stated attempted delivery which is RUBBISH as a safe place was given and no signature was required. What it looks like is driver has only 8 hours to deliver, if the 8 hours are up then he stops delivering and your parcel goes onto the next delivery on top of his allocated 8 hours of deliveries, which means you may never get your delivery EVER. Best of all they give you the impression that it is your fault for using their service.nWhen the value of your parcel is over £200 you are forced to worry, a lot.nThis delivery company is not fit for purpose and it’s time that it was sorted out.
Not great. We chose our parcel to be delivered to this depot for collection, yet the website never said it was ready to collect, the collection date kept moving just out of reach. When checking on Monday it would be “ready to collect on Tuesday”, but on checking the website Tuesday it would have changed to being “ready to collect on Wednesday”. Eventually I had to check in person as the live chat feature said the same exact thing.nnHowever, when checking in person the staff at the depot were kind and found my parcel for me, at the depot, even though the website still said it wasn’t ready to collect.
