Exquisite food! Booked a table for a quiet meal with my husband. The restaurant and bar was quiet but the service and food was second to none! People really need to visit here, it is an absolute gem of a place. Would highly recommend.
The food itself was very mediocre as I have visited many Thai restaurants in West Yorkshire and have to say this restaurant is very overrated. We ate as a group of 3 and there were problems from the get go, the waiters are unhelpful and very impolite considering its around £30-40 per head approx. The soft drinks are severed flat repeatedly even after we complained the first time. For starters we had a variety of seafood/chicken dishes . The seafood was a of a poor quality and over cookedsquid was very rubbery and inedible. The mains weren't much better either , the Thai curries were tasteless , if you were blindfolded you could've tell the difference between the red or green curry. Would recommend if you want to try Asian /Thai food to visit Thai edge in Leeds or even Thai fever in Shipley for a more authentic and tasty meal.
I was recently in Shipley for work and was craving a taste of home! Wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly blown away by the great tasting food! Had the pleasure of meeting the owner and learning that his wife is Malaysian, hence the great authentic food! We came here multiple times on our business trip and I can't wait for our return as we will definitely be eating here!
Flavoursome and exciting Japanese and Chinese food, with great service and delicious cocktails. A little bit more expensive than your average restaurant say, £35 pp, but worth splashing out for if you want to treat yourself.
Visited Yo Yo a couple of months back. Firstly, Yo Yo served up one of the best meals I have eaten all year: seasoned, hot, tasty. The food alone is outstanding. As a serial complainer, I am one who is quick to send off a bad review, but it usually takes something outstanding for me to remark positively. I had the squid to start followed by the Beef Massaman. The food took me back to my gap year when I visited South East Asia. It was all fresh and flavoursome. The vibe was pretty good, fairly un-busy on the week night when I visited, service was great. The restaurant has real character and was well decorated. Next time I am in Shipley or anywhere remotely close, I will certainly be going out of my way to visit. It was great.
Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed my first visit to Yo Yo's. Our family are big fans of Sushi so we were over the moon to find the extremely generous Japanese offerings. It's not just Sushi, there's also plenty of Sashimi and Makimono dishes available, all thoroughly delicious and authentic. The Restaurant itself has a warm and cosy feel, which is very inviting. A good night was had by all and we will certainly be back sooner rather than later.
Poor service, took an hour to be served by surley waiters. Food incredibly average, probably from having such a bloated menu. Tries to be a jack of all trades place. Very expensive for what you get.
Visited 25/04/15 and I have to say it was lovely. Staff and food both fantastic. Highly recommend this place. The atmosphere is good too.
I came with my wife here and though I did not find something that suits my taste my wife loved the place and the food and her standards are sky high So it thoroughly deserves the 5 stars.
