Was busy, however no need to wait for a seat. Ordering is quick and easy by the QR code. Food and drink started arriving within a few minutes. Staff were nice and food excellent.Food: 5/5

Maybe its just not my cup of tea but this was really disappointing I guess the rolls/sushi are alright, the same stuff you expect from wasabi/itsu/etc, but the cooked food - strongly suggest not to try : the ramen was beyond disappointing, the whole broth was oily and you can taste nothing but black pepper, the vegetable was raw, the noodle is not ramen, just egg noodle. Not to mention it was not hot enough. I think i prefer wagamama if we are talking about western style cooked japanese food. Stick with the rolls/maki if you go!
Delicious food but their prices mainly for the sushi have gone sky rocket. Used to be £2-4 per plate when picking them off the conveyor. Now you have to order them on the scanned QR code for what you want and they arrive where you sit on the belt. Salmon Ponzu was £6 per plate, Nigiri is £5 per plate..
love the rebrand, and the new ordering system. the tempura katsu curry bowl was delicious, the prawn was very good. the teriyaki chicken was also good. however, the rice in the sushi was not very good and was very mushy and dry. overall, would still come again, just would not order the sushi.
Yo Sushi has definitely gone downhill from before. They removed a lot of the interesting features that made Yo Sushi stand out from the rest. The autonomy of the conveyor belt and the water tap at every table has now all gone. You must order via the QR code and pay before receiving it. In addition, the food was horrible. The ramen bowl cost £12.50 and there was not even a handful of noodles in there. The broth was overpowered by pieces of chilli with no real flavour. Some random things were just thrown in like pickled onion and seaweed which made the overall taste just really strange and unappetising. The sushi was less than substandard. The rice did not seem real and did not even look like rice. It was cold and mushy and the rice grains seemed to be blended all in one. It appeared that the sushi had been prepared 2 or 3 days ago. The next thing I noticed was the thinness of California rolls. It looked like the chef had taken 2 normal size rolls and chopped them in half to make four. Overall it was a very bad eating-out experience and confirmed my decision never eating at Yo Sushi again.
Always a great experience here. They needed to make it clearer that there was a blue monday deal as I was only aware of it due to previously seeing it online. The other tables seemed to have a different menu but we didn't. Edit: my previous review was from years ago and no longer stands. Current review May 2022: Food has gone downhill , even since my last visit last month. Instead of the beautifully seasoned fries as shown in one of my pictures, we got what tasted like mcdonalds fries with big globs of sriracha mayo in places, the second picture of the fries. The ones underneath has nothing at all. They've changed the dynamite rolls, they no longer had the flavour they had before. The "firecracker" rice and the katsu curry had no spice whatsoever. The katsu chicken rolls had half the amount of chicken than before. We were looking forward to coming back because they had reintroduced the hoisin duck rolls that had been discontinued due to covid. These used to be small rolls full of flavour. They have been replaced with large, dry rolls without any flavour. Overall a really disappointing experience, looks like Yo sushi are trying to cut cost but have lost all of the flavour.
Took my daughter 3for her first to visit with my partner. The food came pretty quickly although he would disagree as other people's food going by was a tease apparently The new system where you order on your phone then wait for your order isn't as good as the old one. Preferred it when you took what you liked the look of. It slows your visit and I think limits what you try. Hence a lost star. But. All in all the food was delish and we enjoyed our visit
Used to be great food - has now gone downhill. Quality is substandard, as you pay upfront including a service fee! it is very difficult to complain. Some of our food was incomplete sauce for pancakes missing some wrong. The poke bowl was so spicy it was inedible. Lots of old favourites are no longer available. The Yo sushi I used to love is gone.
Great food as always. Just still find it odd how little interaction you have with staff memebers now it's all online. On arrival I thought the store was shut it was very dimly lit and just the atmosphere was off. I love YO and their food is supreme
