My first visit to Yo Sushi and I had never had Sushi before. It was a good experience. Food is good value. The service was friendly and prompt. Since my first experience of sushi has made me want to have it again I think it's fair to say they did a good job!
Went with a friend to check out the vegan options and was impressed with the selection. Team were friendly and helpful. Left very satisfied.
Different way to eat, based on coloured trays, you could run up a big bill without knowing it so be careful and enjoy....great food
I had started to lose faith in Yo! as some of my latest experiences at other branches have been terrible. Luckily for Yo! I love their food, so I find it difficult to stay away. This branch is absolutely wonderful, exactly how it should be. The two chaps serving that day were friendly and attentive, but not overly. There was plenty on the belt, and all delicious. The building itself was lovely, bright and clean. Top stuff. Would love to come back.
I love Yo Sushi and this location offered good service and well cooked food. There was a good selection of Vegetarian and some Vegan options. The staff were lovely and the Manageress was very helpful and friendly. If I had one criticism it would be the toilets, other than that I loved it and will be back again.
Arrived about an hour before closing time and they had been extremely busy so very little was actually on the belt. However, most of what we ordered arrived really quickly and it was all very fresh. Only wish they would steam their gyozas like some Yo restaurants do. The service was also really good on this occasion. This is not gourmet sushi but it is okay and with a deal on the day of 47 dishes available at blue price, it did not break they back either.
I love Yo Sushi but due to a combination of loving Japanese food, low impulse control and taking my wife with me, I always need to take a lot of money with me. The restaurant is clean and tidy and most of the staff are friendly. Although last time I went, I thought that the chefs might not be there too much longer as they seemed really fed up.
Sushi is one of my favourite foods, but I have to say I've found myself disappointed in my local yo sushi franchise. I've gone a number of times over the past few months and I can't say any of my experiences have been particularly enjoyable, with the restaurant feeling understaffed, disorganised and overall quite poor. The staff are friendly, and the food isn't bad, but I found myself watching the conveyor belt continually going round and round for upwards of twenty minutes waiting for something that seemed especially appealing For instance, I didn't see any dishes of maki going around in any of my recent visits. While the ability to order dishes from the menu overcomes this issue a bit, I feel like I haven't had an authentic yo sushi experience. I feel like the next time I want to go to yo sushi, I will be going to the Southampton branch, instead.
The food was okay, however not great. The chef made some variations to the menu, some ingredients were missing or in smaller amounts eg. fried rice with salmon, barely had any salmon and no beans. Service was slow, seating across the hot food chef I could see he was overwhelmed by the number of orders. I could hear the staff complaining about customers, swearing etc., not nice. Also, once you enter this place goodbye phone network, in case you're waiting for an important call.
I love it here!! The sushi is amazing and I love the fries that they do!! They are a little spicy and sour and that's perfect! The soy sauce makes a big difference to the taste and it helps for people not familiar with raw fish !! If you have never tried it before, please pluck up the courage to do so, it's totally worth it! The Chicken Gyoza are amazing and the rice packets!!
