Amazing experience never been to YO! Before and the food was amazing. Really quick to come to us and we didn’t have a booking, but the waitress could get us a table straight away and talk us through the process of what to do which is ordering and paying through the QR code that takes you to the website. Really good prices aswell for what you get. If you are wanting a nice bit of food whilst you are having a trip around Cheshire oaks it is well worth it. Do make sure if you want, to book before hand because it can get really busy in there, as when we were eating the place was full and they did start to turn people away/ telling them there was a 30min wait which is normal.
Favourite spot for a quick lunch We always manage to get a table here whenever we visit Cheshire Oaks, never had a problem with our food either. Food came out quickly and staff were friendly and attentive. Strawberry Cheesecake Mochi is a MUST, we get it every time we come. It’s unmatched.
Our first visit here and we can say that it is okay enough to fill your hungry tummy. The overall order process was actually fine. Orders will come in front of you from conveyor. If you've been to Japan yourself you know why you may not want to come back.
came to yo sushi today it is my favourite place the food is beautiful you have to try everything it really is special. Only problem is teying to walk or even fit through the door when your finished...i love it and the staff are mega friendly and nothing is too much for them
I do love a YOSushi - the food as always was delicious & the chef's were helpful & pleasant. The reason for 3 stars is simply that the front of house were not up to the usual standard I expect at YO. We waited for a good 6 minutes at the front desk without any acknowledgement of our existence & when we eventually were taken to seating we were just told it's all a bit difficult still at the minute with a combination of scanning an app to order and picking food up off the conveyor belt but then she rushed off without any further help or instruction. Maybe they were just having a bad day & we were unlucky.
Grubby, really poor ordering system now meaning half on app/browser and half off the belt and through staff. Drinks took forever to arrive, the dishes didn't have the freshest of items on them and the plates/bowls looked like they'd been handled by grubby hands. I used to love Yo! And would travel specifically to have it but am so over it now. The cost is what it is, and the dishes are small as that's what sushi is about, but £9.50 for 2 X coca cola and a miso is pushing it. They've not put back the water option, and the ginger and wasabi is nowhere to be seen. You can't say it's to lessen cross contamination as the soy, soy bowls and chop sticks are all left out on the tables. The app didn't match the menu, or what was being advertised on the TV's, and no search function either. No recommendation option either based on what is liked, which is a missed functionality.
We eat at YO! Quite regularly but haven’t ever had a reason to complain, usually service is fantastic. But as a family, we visited on Sunday and unfortunately, weren’t impressed, Firstly I found the hostess very unwelcoming, she was rude, aggressive, and very short with us. The staff serving us weren’t rude but they were unapproachable. We understand that YO! Is mostly ordered through the app now, rather than table service, but we couldn’t speak to anyone about the following issues 1 It was so cold, we had to have our coats on, and were still freezing, it was colder than outside, in January, in the UK. 2 We couldn’t get a refill on the miso soup as we couldn’t get any attention, so my partner went to get some and they soon noticed us then and the hostess gritted her teeth and shouted at him!! 3 There was no tissue in the bathroom, the toilets were filthy. Overall, it was very disappointing. When you don’t get to do many things as a family due to the cost of living, and go and spend approximately £80-£100 to feel like a shivering hindrance; it’s not great.
The staff here are extremely helpful and the place is kept much cleaner than some others that we've visited before. If you've not tried sushi before and you're looking to give it a go then this is the place to go. There are so many options that aren't just sushi that if you find that sushi isn't for you then you can go with something completely different but still in keeping with the theme of the restaurant.
Visited twice for the Monday deals which are great. Food is wonderful but annoying that it's so difficult to get some tap water. Were told it was fine to use the taps then charged £1.50 each. When we complained we got refunded for one of the drinks. It's nice to sit and watch the staff cooking when they aren't in a bad mood which can be a little off putting. Don't think we'll be going back. Can understand why the one in Chester shut down.
Holey Moley. To get in was a nightmare as we had to book in and then come back for our slot. Eventually we got in and ordered through the long winded app. The food which we ordered was the ramen from what I recollect. I ate the food as I was quite hungry even though it lacked a lot of flavour. My wife sent hers back to the kitchen as she found the food inedible and opted for some fries instead as she was also hungry. Needless to say I was extremely sick for about 7 days after eating that food. 4 days laid out in bed and about 3 days of being near the toilet . If you like like visiting the bathroom a lot then this is the place for you. Consequently I emailed Yo sushi with my complaint and experience but had no reply from them. That’s customer service for you in the U.K. If I could give this place a zero for a rating then this place would have that score but I had to score it 1 star . Avoid this place if you can unless you like frequenting the toilet a lot.
