Moving to ymca has made me, upset, suicidal and depressed. They dont help with anything they just want your money, please think twice before seeking accommodation here, i know people are desperate for housing but you will be treated worse than if you just lived on the street. Im already here but i will sell my body in order to hurry and get out of here, private housing is more worth it, ymca will treat you like a forth class citizen when you are paying a huge amount of money £1350 rent and what do i get..? Suicidal thoughts. I do not recommend. Enter at your own risk, you have been warned.
The manager of the gym JOY is unprofessional and discriminates against muslim women and any woman who shows religious modesty. Making comments behind clients back whilst they are still in earshot is a big NO NO in customer service, her boss needs to have a word, what entitled behaviour. I won't be attending anywhere i feel discrimination. Revoking my membership, im actually really upset.
I have used this cafe on a regular basis, it's inside the YMCA. The staff are very welcoming -they have a great menu or they will make what you want-they make a fantastic toasted club sandwich and the prices are fabulous. You can have homemade cake too and they have lots of choices for drinks .The atmosphere is very relaxed and you can choose to sit at tables or on a comfy sofa as you watch the world go by-I would highly recomend the Coffee cafe.

Great cafe and very affordable. I often use the venue for meetings and always have a good experience. The choice of drinks and food available can sometimes be a little limited, but this is offset by the cheap prices. Would recommend supporting this worthwhile course.
It is a large beautifully designed place. Easy access with a small car park right outside it. They also have a coffee area, and on nice weather days you can enjoy sitting outside enjoying your drink and watch the world going by.
Five star for the Cielo Coffee shop. Excellent quality coffee, some nice drinking options. Very very friendly and helpful staff. Sooooo much better than Starbucks or Costa. Great place to meet folks, great place just to sit and drink freshly roasted coffee.
Honestly the whole of the YMCA is a massive scam. Charging over £300 per week for people to live there who are struggling to find accommodation.. then have the cheek to not allow family or friends to stay the night AND have a curfew? It's more like a prison that you pay £1,200 a month for. Absolutely disgraceful tbh. Not allowed to wear pyjama's or anything other than normal clothes and shoes in the foyer.. I'm sorry but if residents are paying well over £1,000 a month they should be allowed some leeway in having visitors/a partner stay a night or two and no stupid curfew... Abhorrent that this company is allowed to exist with the rules and regulation it has. Residents CANNOT get a job because getting a job means actually paying £1,200 for a room no bigger than a prison cell so everyone is stuck waiting for council housing... I'm utter disbelief that this is allowed to go on.
