Conveniently located within 10 mins walking distance to bus stops. The rooms were neat and clean but the number of toilets and showers were limited compared to the number of guests. The kitchen was small but manageable. It was very crowded during my stay due to peak summer holidays.
We stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely time in Penzance. The rooms, toilets and showers are clean, the beds are a bit tiny and narrow, if you‘re bigger than 180cm it might be a bit uncomfortable. The hostel does food which surprised us and was very delish. The location is very cute in the nature but you have to walk for like 20min to the town, which was no problem at all. There‘s a cute little bus every 1/4hour or you can take the taxi for £8. The staff was always friendly and there to help :nnThe annoying bit was the noisiness, but that might be usual in hostels. There are other guests but they were quite loud in the hallway, you hear every word and every door that gets closed. Unfortunately the place smelled somewhat unpleasant, like moisture and old carpets… Wifi was very weak.nnAll in all we had a wonderful time in Penzance and the YHA is a great place to stay at :
This place is fantastic. It is situated a bit out of town there's a bus that takes you halfway there, which may be its only downfall, but honestly some people might really like this location, as it's basically in the woods.nnThe staff are not only kind and polite, but also very dedicated.nnThe grounds are expansive and very well maintained.nnThe facilities are very clean nice shower/toilets. They have a big kitchen that is equipped with cooking pots and pans/utensils. The lounge is also very nice.nnOverall, I 100% recommend this hostel!
Well! thank you to the staff of this wonderfully run hostel, kept everything running beautifully, working quietly in the background. If you want to improve the only things I can think of are more bike spaces and a dryng room, but it is lovely as it is.
We hired the Landpod and it was a nice stay. Good breakfast and good staff except the power plugs. To charge your phone or laptop you have to go to the Lounge Area which has limited power plugs.
