Really nice quaint pub with lots of character. Lovely friendly staff and very nice food. Good choice of drinks with some ales. Highly recommend this place
Unfortunately there was no social distancing here. A crowd of young guys sitting close together watching footie on the big screen. We witnessed people coming in and not doing track and trace, or wearing masks. Disappointing, but we ate soup and rolls keeping faced away from others there, making sure we used hand gel after we left.
Although the food was ok. My daughter had a hair in her fish. The burger was average the chips were no better than McCain frozen. Overall compared to this afternoons lunch in Oxford it was distinctly 1990s pub food. Had a lot better.
As great as ever! Steak Wednesday is fabulous value - though food every night is always reasonably priced - and the beers are all eminently quaffable. An excellent pub to eat and drink in until last orders. Try the 32 oz steak...
