Absolutely amazing. Staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough for you. Food was superb, we went on a Saturday night meat night. I had the OG mixed grill. Only one word can describe it. WOW. I was starving when I went in. It beat me. Couldn’t eat last chip and half. Food coma. THANKYOU , will definitely see us again.Food: 5/5

Came upon this pub by accident and in need of lunch. Freindly bar person helpful with menu even though it was 13.30. Dog freindly too! Food was typical pub fare but none the worse for that. We would definitely use again when in area.Food: 4/5
So just an update for those dog lovers out there. Following on from the Landlords dog viciously savaging a much smaller dog, in the so called dog friendly pub, the Landlord has still not paid the vets bill, as he promised to do in front of a bar full of customers. The victims owners have now had to pay out nearly £3000, had to cancel their holiday and are traumatised. So if you fancy a meal while watching your dog being ripped to pieces by a Great Dane, this is the pub for you!!!
Appalling and Shocking behaviour by landlord the other Friday night . Their dog attacked a customers dog in the pub full of witnesses, and he agreed to cover emergency vet costs in front of witnesses being staff and customers- fact landlord has since become hostile with no remorse whatsoever towards the innocent dog owners, has also been witnessed making arrogant comments too about the incident. At the time of incident he even admitted his dog was territorial and not normally allowed in the pub. Shocking he’s now become hostile and shown no remorse! Owners of the dog who survived the attack are pursuing legal channels. Would hate for anyone else, even a child to be attacked by the landlords dog and then treated so badly by landlord. What’s even more laughable is the landlord is so unprofessional and is replying to other people’s reviews abruptly and arrogantly when he’s the one at fault!? And, blocking anyone who dares to share these facts. Appalling behaviour. Still not paid vet bill either, which landlord did offer to pay in front of customers and staff at the time fact. Very sad. Fortunately the dog did survive and is on the road to recovery.
Lovely lunch on a quiet Wednesday. Food was excellent, service was brilliant from the friendly staff. This was our first visit to Ye Olde Cherry Tree, we look forward to returning soon.Food: 5/5
Found them on Google whilst staying at Dovercourt Haven ,called last minute on fathers day and they were able to accommate us and the dog . Food was really yummy and plenty of it . Recommend a visit if you are staying locally . We.will be back to visit again Thank you to the team ..

We went away for a night and wanted to treat ourselves to a nice dinner, the website was delivered what it promised, high end pub food. Very well kept local real ale green jack highly recommended. The seafood platter was amazing and the staff were friendly, helpful and chatty, not like other country/community pubs I've been to. I would go out of my way to go back.
