Had whole house done. Salesman and surveyor polite and pleasant, gave us lots of good advice. Fitting date came and fitters arrived right on the dot. Put dustsheets over carpets, beds etc. Worked hard all the days they were with us. They cleaned up as much as possible at the end of each day and gave a really good clean when the job was complete. There were a few problems, e.g. they broke some tiles around bathroom window but we had a few spares so they replaced them, but these minor difficulties were soon overcome with a bit of goodwill and understanding. Jeremy and Jamie, our fitters, were a credit to themselves and the Company. We are very pleased and would have no hesitation in recommending Yate Windows to anyone.

This was my first experience with a window and door company. Yate Windows were recommended locally and the entire experience has exceeded my expectations. They replaced my patio door and provided excellent after sales support. I will be using again for any other replacement door or window.

Apart from the tangible improvement the windows and doors give, we have found our experience with Dean, Joe and the fitting team entirely positive. All was done when and how it was going to be done. Mess was kept to a minimum, and courtesy and consideration were the order of the day. Full marks! The best-ever double glazing experience.

We had our downstairs windows and front door replaced and we're happy with the work. We'd had the upstairs done a few years ago by Panoramic windows who are another local company and comparing the two, I was happier with Yate windows for several reasons. Firstly the handles and locks on the Yate windows are easier to use, the locks on the panoramic windows are fiddly and it's hit or miss if the button will actually push in even when it's unlocked. The key is also fiddly to turn on the Panoramic windows. Panoramic windows forgot to seal the top of 1 window and it let in water, to be fair they did fix it. Panoramic refused to replace a glass unit under guarantee. It had a hairline crack at the edge and was probably there for a long time without me noticing it. Panoramic windows quibbled over the fact the window was months old (5 months I think). Yate windows by contrast, do guarantee their glass. We opted for the Royale composite door from Yate windows and I must say that despite reading mixed reviews about composite doors in general, I am very pleased with it. The lock and handle work well and the whole door sits perfectly so it is completely draft proof. Some people do complain the composite doors can warp in the sun however our front door is in the shade from mid morning so I don’t think we'll have any problems. Comparing Yate windows to the others we got quotes from, I must say that Yate windows were more open and honest. We got a realistic quote up front and when I asked about changing a few options, the price didn't move much and they were able to explain that say glass pattern A costs x for the front door and pattern B costs y. The price basically hardly moved even when I changed my mind about things. In contrast Polar Bear windows offered us "Up to 25%" off. I called up and made a couple of small changes to what I wanted and all in all the 25% off was a gross exaggeration. I was told my options cost a lot more than the options in my original quote. Yate windows were simply more open in their pricing. So the quote process and the windows, doors and fitting were all good from Yate windows compared to other local companies.

We had a very poor experience with them, the fitters we were allocated were very poor and made a terrible job of finishing off. I pursued the issue and finally after weeks of trying to get hold of them they finally came out and made an effort to redo the poor work. Very rude and unhelpful directors.
