I think people are too eager to criticise Doctors and health professionals. Can't get an appointment for a week, only ten minutes consultation etc.... All the people that have a good service from these docs probably dont bother posting! I have had nothing short of an exceptional service from Yarm Medical Practice. The care and attention My family has received was second to none. Yes...it's a chew calling at 8am for a same day appointment but my previous surgery let you call up at 8am for an appointment 2 days later!! Just keep hitting the redial button and you get through eventually! The staff at this surgery are fantastic, the care is outstanding and my family and I are grateful to be registered here. This is why they probably got 'OUTSTANDING' on their CQC rating. It's about time positive experiences were shared on google reviews rather than just negative un-helpful ones.

Only visit once every 2 years or so, when absolutely have to, thank goodness. These are my experiences over 3 Dr. visits in last 5 years. Best experience here was with Dr. Beilby - one off appointment. I will never accept an appointment with my registered doctor, Dr. Donne, again - patronising and appalling response. Next visit, saved little list of minor issues for one appointment - trying to be helpful as the surgery seems under so much pressure - on explaining this to Dr. who saw me I was told "this won't do, I only have 10 minutes". Last visit was referral to a physio - waited in line at reception for 10 mins. which cut down my physio session. Walked in and started to explain my symptoms, was immediately shut up by physio shouting "No, no, no, no, no ! I ask the questions !" Maybe they behave like this to keep the numbers down - dread going here.

Not being able to get an appointment for over a week is utterly ridiculous.

Having to call at 8am on the morning you want an appointment is not a good system. Since everyone calls at this time you can barely get through!! Why not allow appointments to be made in advance??
