So incredibly mediocre. The fact that they won’t give you double portions of your selections is also annoying, forcing you to have a ridiculous mix of flavours in your box. As an extra bonus, today my rice was undercooked! Woohoo!
I went for a small lunch, but wasn't quite prepared for how small! On noticing, I asked for it to be upsized to a medium, to be told I couldn't and would need to buy two smalls! This was equivalent to a small child's portion, I'd reckon. To add insult to injury, the chicken balls were tiny two small nuggets really, the sweet and sour sauce watery and my drink watered down. A fairly unpleasant experience, which I won't repeat as it has got progressively worse over time. They could take a lesson or two from Chopstix. The two stars is more generous than the portions.
We visited at 5.30pm on a Thursday evening, very little food out in display ,tiny portions were served more like a kids meal than an adults, won't be rushing to go back next time will get better value from our local chinese
I ordered noodles with sweet and sour chicken in addition to caramel chicken. The food was cold and not fresh at all, it felt like left overs the next morning. Never again
I found their portions drastically reduced. More rice than chicken Definitely not value for money
I used to like coming down. But today i was serve by a new guy i think becouse i never seen him before. Spend 8 pounds on a medium meal and a drink. That was always enough for me. Today size of my box was smaller then a happy meal. Joke for that money im still hungry.
This is a Chinese in the Abbey Centre "food court" I haven't been to that often. Anytime I have, the food has been pretty good but not anything over special. They do an all you can eat option for a fiver but to be honest you don't get much in your dish. The staff are certainly not overly helpful but it can be fairly busy so that could explain that.
As a vegetarian I find it difficult to find fast food places to eat. But to my surprise I found one place serving apparent “veggie” food. I ordered the “veggie” Spring rolls, noodles and samosas. I was offered sauce, but upon asking if it was vegetarian the server shook her head and said none it was. Now I took this as her meaning the sauces weren’t vegetarian... During my meal I thought the noodles tasted a bit fishy and the spring rolls were a tad weird. I opened a spring roll to find huge pieces of watery ham throughout. Absolutely disgusted and won’t be going back. Why say food say vegetarian if it’s not?
Hard to communicate with the staff. Porsions are way too small. Better to eat something else at the foodcourt.
Oh dear. Not a great way to start a review, but it sums this place up. Phad Thai was offered with regular noodles from the counter when the menu said flat noodles - I declined and asked for flat. It was good to see that it was prepared fresh, but that was the most positive thing that can be said about the visit. When the dish was served in a single use plastic container to "eat in" - no plates sadly it was missing the "nut garnish" listed on the menu. The chef was asked and came and said they didn't offer nuts his English was virtually unintelligible, but I *think* it was to do with risk of food allergies, despite it being advertised... Then the server realised there were no trays to serve the dish with so went back shop and reappeared with a pile. They hadn't been cleaned since collection, and there was no attempt to do so before my food was put on it. To top it all off, I sat down to eat and then realised there wasn't any egg in my Phad Thai, but why should there have been, even if the menu said there would be!? I just couldn't face trying to complain further and wished I'd put the £5.50 on the horses instead - it'd have proved far more enjoyable...
