Lovely atmosphere and super tasty food ! Absolutely one of the most authentic Thai restaurant in town . We’ll be back soon ;Recommended dishesGreen Curry, Pork Dumplings and Chicken Satay, Crispy Duck Salad
Think I've found my new favourite restaurant. Well balanced and extremely flavoursome food. Everything tasted very fresh and like it's been made with love.
Sometimes, disappointment can turn into euphoria! My usual Thai restaurant was closed, and I had my heart set on a Thai meal #disappointment. So, I googled Thai restaurants in Thanet. Many had very mixed reviews and the food photos were not appealing. Then, I came across Yama Thai Restaurant in the 19th Hole pub in Kingsgate near Broadstairs. They only had a few reviews as they are newly trading for Thai food, but they were excellent, so I gave them a call and booked in. Chef Noi works out of the pub kitchen having previously been in Margate. The service in the pub and with Chef Noi and her team was top notch. Noi came out and chatted to us about likes / dislikes and life in general. The food was amazing – the best I have had outside of Thailand. 10/10 on every aspect # euphoria. I will be back as soon as I am next in Thanet. I would recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment as I have no doubt, they will be very busy going forward. Thank you Yama & The 19th Hole.
Visited the 19th Hole pub because I heard that Chef Noi has returned to thanet. I loved her food when she was in margate and boy she hasn't lost her touch, tastes were amazing as usual. Chef Noi even came out to explain the limited menu as first night, made complete sense. Loved it and can't wait until take away starts soon..
I have only great things to say about the food and service. Amazing flavours and more than enough food. I did find that the Medium Chili Heat I chose was hotter than expected but it didn't detract from the experience and it certainly didn't over power the other flavours
ATTENTION: Google has this place wrongly located so please do not get confused as you will go in circles finding the place. Yama Thai Kitchen is actually located at The nineteenth pub on the George Hill Road itself at Percy road entrance. I have left a 5 star rating on The Nineteenth pub review as we had an awesome time today cos the food was Aaaa-mazing!
I'm so glad that Chef Noi is back in town. The best Thai food in Thanet, bar none! Authentic is an often overused word but this is the real deal. And what an absolute darling she is too.
Staff, super nice. Kids, very welcome. Space, is pleasant, recently renovated. Ingredients, fresh and crisp. Flavour, authentic and sophisticated. Would definitely come back
Really nice Thai food. Fresh, reasonably priced, tasty etc. Will be ordering from here again .
