Not a good school overall, i have not felt happy the entire time i have been here. The rules are very strict for no justifiable reason, for example there are mysterious rules such as; you cannot wear a coat in class or a hoodie (even if it is cold), if you are a girl you cannot wear makeup, have tight trousers etc. and in general you cannot wear shoes you want to wear or have hairstyles you want or facial hair you want as "silly" hairstyles are not allowed and facial hair of any kind is not allowed because it "offends people". The way they deal with bullying is lack luster at best as this school thinks all they need to do to deal with a bully is give them a isolation for a day or even worse just make them say sorry (hint, both of these don't work). Most teachers are good but some in particular are not good at teaching/not engaging and in some classes i feel the quality of my education is not very high and some lessons are just outright boring when they don't have to be. There are some positives to the school such as the canteen food is O.K and the facilities are good but overall i feel like a prisoner here as this school does not provide a very engaging education as they seem to sacrifice well being for looking good on paper

If I could rate it 0 stars, I would. The school achieves amazingly academically but fails to address situations such as students getting followed home by other students and teachers have even made excuses for bullies. Would not recommend this school at all. The school feels more like a prison then an actual school facility. The students need to wear school uniforms and male students can not wear their hair in a bun. While the students should have the freedom to find their own identity they are forced to wear the same clothes and look the same and think the same. This school also doesn't listen to their students thoughts. Even though they say that everything is "excellent" when it comes to their students knowledge that is not true. Maybe the students only are good at the things that the school system wants them to be good at. Students that speak their mind are put down and referred as a rebels for thinking another way then the other students. They are put in small rooms facing the wall while they are forced to do homework while the teachers stare at them. That is technically torture, right? This school is putting ends to students way of thinking, to their thoughts. Students that think a different way choose to not go to school. Also students bad behavior is not discussed in a mature way. They are just assumed by the teachers and then applied on the students for the rest of the time they will go to this school. So no, I wouldn’t recommend your student to choose this school because it will kill it’s creativity, personality and confidence. You want your child, right? Not a robot. If so, buy a computer.

don't deserve any stars. said they are the best school in south wales, more like the worst, bullied from when I joined (yr 8) till when I left in year 11. they do nothing about bullying, since I was bullied for 4 years. WORST SCHOOL

Excellent school with a very high pass rate in both gcses and a levels. Would recommend this school to anyone. The facilities are now first class x
