We called in here as we read it has good reviews online. We weren't disappointed. We had to sit in the back room as we had a dog but the dining room looked nice. The beer was good, and the food was home made and very tasty, and really good value. The staff were friendly.

Extensive menu of freshly cooked food. Best vegetable lasagne I have ever tasted! Huge steak & ale pie, good choice of burgers and traditional main meals. Wouldn't recommend it as a pub just for a drink as it's not very big and is full of tables set for eating. But a fantastic find for quality meals. Do book in advance though or you'll be lucky to get a table.

Excellent. Popped in without booking a table for a quick evening meal. Place was fully booked but the manager squeezed us in as we wanted to be out within the hour. Food was fabulous. Will go back again.

Fantastic food and very hard to beat!! Service excellent also. A good all round traditional pub . Gavin is an excellent chef and The Crown is well worth a visit.
