We booked a table for Easter Sunday 24 hrs prior. The portions of the roast beef dinner was huge and so very very delicious. Even the children's portions. One plate would have done my two children and they still would have left some. Staff were lovely and welcoming. 4 meals, 4 desserts, and 4 beverages cost just over £60. Would definitely recommend Thai lovely little place if your that way.
We arrived half an hour before the kitchen opened. We initially ordered coffee and it was okay, nothing special. But after that we were getting ignored quite a lot. As soon the kitchens opened, some of the locals came in and, they were immediately served with the menu. While we waited for around 10 to 15 mins before asking for the menu. It’s not like the place was busy either. It was just a couple of customers. But regardless the food was really good and didn’t wait long for the food. Just the service aspect of it needs to improve
We’re staying in the area for the week and we came here has this place was recommended to us and oh my we’re so glad we did! First of all, the staff are extremely friendly and attentive considering how busy it was and the mains arrived very quickly after ordering, the food here is amazing too with very generous portions. The decor and atmosphere inside the pub is really great, it is a local pub but it’s very friendly, we had puddings and cocktails too which were so tasty. If you’re ever staying in the area I highly highly recommend you try this place out I would book ahead as this pub was absolutely packed I cannot fault anything at all, really amazing.
Tasty food, great service and fun atmosphere. What more could we ask for?!Food: 5/5
Not as good as our last visit. Was really looking forward to visiting but quite disappointed. Has the chef changed? Lasagne came out cold, undercoked chips, sticky toffee pudding had no toffee sauce although another one we ordered had plenty. The prawn cocktail came out with bread and no butter. Shocking prices for what we got. Don't know what's happened tonight.
Miserable sour faced grump bag... the younger staff that served us were perfectly nice and i enjoyed my meal but after calling ahead to make sure we could get a tablegroup of 6 hikers the experience was ruined by the senior member of staff that treated us like we just shot her dog... this place could be great if the old lady took her mood and hid in the back somewhere. 2 stars because I genuinely did enjoy the food
Visited 3 weeks ago and this was our first time here even though we spend most of our summers in llanrug. Excellent 2 course Sunday lunch. All home cooked and absolutely delicious. Our host was very welcoming and she wanted to ensure everyone enjoyed their visit. A super pub and we are very lucky to have you in the village. Now we've found you there will be many more visits to try out your lovely menu, and we look forward to many more lunches next summer
Booked here at the last minute on a Sunday evening. I'm not sure how they got their high review rating I thought the food was just ok. Although the roast beef was not that tough the knife was blunt and took a long time to cut through the meat. Although they were very generous with the amount of food the quality could have been better. As far as home cooked food goes my wife can do a lot better with her roasts and she's no expert.
An unassuming looking pub from the outside and very traditional feeling one inside. Efficient, friendly and attentive service by a young but well informed team of staff. Well trained for a guess. The topping on the cake was the amazing food. It was clearly home cooked and the the quality and portion sizes were 1st class. Not your usual pre-manfactured pub food, but proper food. I would have given 4.5 stars but was not able to... The draught ale wasn't as good as the food, and they had run out of Sunday Lunched by 5:45 and some of the desserts, hence the four stars. When in the area I will be visiting again. Highly recommended.
First time here and was greeted with a friendly service and the food was Amazing, definitely recommend itFood: 5/5
