Celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at The Wyvill Arms tonight. The food was some of the best we've had for a long time. Beautifully presented and plentiful, so much so that we didn't have room for dessert, so we will have to go back to sample those. The staff are lovely - friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We will definitely visit again when we are next in the area. 100% recommend.
Just enjoyed the loveliest Sunday lunch with my Mum, Aunty & Sister. What a fantastic end to our weekend away. The food & wine were perfect and the welcome / service provided by each and every member of he team was exceptional, polite, funny, welcoming, we will definitely be back next time we’re in the area!!!
We ate here last Wednesday evening while on holiday and the service was amazing. That matched with top class food, I cannot fault the evening. I only wish this was our local pub because we felt right at home. 5 stars isn’t enough.
Quite simply one of the most welcoming, comfortable hotels I've ever stayed at. Lovely room, with a modern bathroom, and excellent shower. . 3 miles from Leyburn centre, with lots to see and do, and a local rail line, through the Dales. A perfect hotel, to base yourself, for touring, with a hearty English breakfast, freshly cooked, by the Owner, who is also a top chef. Theakstons best bitter on draft, and an extensive choice of wines. All food is cooked freshly, so a short wait isn't a problem, while you soak up quirky ornaments, that give the hotel a perfect, cozy, homely feel...We WILL be back!! Rooms: So comfortable, with a 4 poster bed, and beautiful shower. Nearby activities: Leyburn chocolate factory. Hawes cheese factory Walkability: Nice and flat, but hills nearby..if you want them. Food & drinks: Home cooked, lovely, hot, and fresh, on hot plates. Proper tea cups, in room. Nice and big! Noteworthy details: A perfect place, in The Dales, ideal to base yourself, for touring this beautiful area.
Fantastic pub called for food was made very welcome. The food was excellent. We were also shown one of the rooms which they offer which was finished to a very high standard. I'm sure we will be staying there very soon.
Stayed in a lodge in the local area and decided to pay the Wyville Arms a visit for early dinner with our young son. The staff were friendly, attentive and couldn't do more for us to enjoy our visit even though our son was upset and vocal. At no point did we feel rushed or forced out the door, and the food was fantastic and reasonably priced. The young man who served us throughout was a true gentleman and a credit to the industry. We will be sure to return in future should we choose to holiday in North Yorkshire again.
Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were really helpful with a special mention for Ned. Excellent meal finished off with a superb Passion fruit Roulade. Would definitely like to stay there again.
We have been holidaying locally & The Wyvill Arms was recommended where we have been staying. Starting with the phone call to make a booking, we were greeted with a friendly voice and this carried on with our experience at the restaurant. The service was extremely attentive - nothing was too much trouble. The food - amazing. My wife and I both had steak and it was cooked to perfection. Our children had fish courses and they were delicious too. The desserts were amazing - with generous portions. We had our small dog on holiday with us and there was a lovely seating area for us. There is also a separate seating area where dogs are not allowed so all are catered for! We thoroughly recommend The Wyvill Arms if you love great food and a friendly, attentive service!More
