We hadn't visited in years and had honestly forgotten all about this garden centre. Parking - Great! We visited on a Sunday and found a parent and child space with ease. Stock - great amount of stock. Some beautiful plants and pots, etc. Our little one loved the garden ornaments and sheds. It was a bit pricey but what garden centre isn't nowadays! Cafe - looked and smelt lovely! We will be back to try soon and maybe even the soft play!
Only popped in for a coffee and a quick sandwich break following a 3 hour drive, garden centre was near my meeting place... Felt sorry for the one chap doing everything in the coffee shop on his own! After waiting for around 15 minutes it was clear I wasn't going to get served soon so left.
Lovely garden centre and restaurant. Great coffee and food. Lovely friendly helpful staff, always seem cheerful. Plants in great condition, lots of variety. Shame, I didn't realise this was nearby for so long. Great discount deals on their club. Count me as a new regular.
Love Dobbies! Took my dog for an unplanned lunch. Had ham, eggs and really good chips. A bit on the expensive side 12:99 but my dog able to sit with me with a fresh bowl of water. After went round the shop which is preparing for Xmas, hence some empty shelves and bargain sales. Love the staff in Dobbies, friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking and lots of unique items to browse.
Very popular with Senior Citizens. The Cafe is usually busy, which is a good sign of tasty food / service / prices. With Harbour Veterinary Services within the store a visit can satisfy 2 visits within one!
We stopped to have some lunch. The young lady who served us was amazing she did not stop. Grace was so friendly and polite and had the patience of a saint .
Loved it here! We went for breakfast two for £14 adults/kids eat free and ended up booking a play slot for our little ones. The play area was £3 per child, perfect for under 5's and well managed e.g. Booked slots to avoid overcrowding, looked clean etc. Our little one had an accident, and the staff were attentive, providing us with a cold compress on request and filled out an accident/incident form. Very professional. We will definitely be going back again for another visit.
My friend and I had a lovely afternoon tea, followed by time with a wonderful lady called Sandi, who lead a workshop for making our very own planters. £10 for the afternoon tea and £30 to spend on a terracotta pot and any plants of my choice, to the value of £30. Compost was provided free of charge. It was a lovely afternoon and I am so pleased with my 'planter'. I can thoroughly recommend this activity and intend to return when they offer it again in July.
I was taken out today for coffee, after being stuck in the house for weeks following an op. The cake and coffee were good, But there was only one poor girl behind the counter serving and making drinks, we were there for nearly two hours , it took 1/2 hour to get served.It wasn't a busy period but there was a consistent long queue. She did her best on her own while two staff from the kitchen wandered around, not attempting to help her. Also there was what appeared to be the garden centre manager and another person watching what was going on, again no help was offered to help reduce the queues, or the poor person struggling to cope. It's a shame, it won't encourage me to come back
We arrived and join the queue. Because the service was so slow by the time we got served, 20 minutes later, they had just stopped breakfast. Had to wait for a milk delivery to have a coffee. Used the soft play area which was ok Very dissatisfying visit.
