Brilliant baked sweet treats and excellent flat white. If you are a woke hipster visiting the area I strongly recommend a visit. If you're not a woke hipster but want more information about how good coffee and baked goods can be if you buy them from good suppliers this place is also perfect for you. In summary...everyone should visit this place to enjoy their lives and increase their well being and happiness.
Wye Bakehouse is an independent bakery tucked away in the Riverside Business park in Bakewell, on the very picturesque river with its huge weeping willow.nA very friendly and knowledgeable bake house, selling a variety of breads!nA huge selection of savoury and sweet sourdough loaves and pastries. The cinnamon bun was my favourite. They also serve coffee to takeaway.
The Christmas Stollen was amazing. We were slightly sceptical about it as first thinking it might be dry like a panatone but it was quite the opposite. Firm yet soft melt-in-your-mouth inside, cherry and chocolate, moist and lightly sweetened. Word soon spread and most people actually went back for second or third helpings. Great value and a wonderful cake, I will definately get another next year.
Small bakery making a delicious selection of cakes and pastries. Our particular favourites are the focaccia, potato bread, almond croissant and cardamon bins! They now have a coffee machine too, so you can get a takeaway coffee. The coffees are excellent.
The cinnamon bun, cardamom bun and Eccles cake were delicious! Also bought a loaf of seeded sourdough which was very tasty! Sadly we were just visiting the area but if we are ever back again, I'll be stocking up on baked goods from the Wye Bakehouse!
