Wreckers
"Wreckers is set in a quirky old boat shed built around 1790. In 2004 it was restored from extreme dilapidation into a restaurant with a fabulous terrace overlooking the famous tall ships in Charlestown Harbour where Poldark is filmed amongst others. We specialise in Cornish fresh produce serving a menu of fabulous seafood, burgers and steaks all provided by local butchers and fishermen daily. We are famous for our Cornish Ale battered Fish and Chips and Our Pasties are made by Premier Pasties, winners of the international pasty championships for the last 3 years. To compliment this we offer the largest variety of exceptional Cornish Wines and Beers in the County. Our Cream Teas are legend. Vegan, Gluten free and Dairy options are plentiful"

Really good food, friendly service. Had calamari for starters, not too much batter and was nicely seasoned. Haddock fillet from the special menu was also good, really fresh. Sea bass was also delicious, really nicely cooked. Restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Great for families and couples.
The cod and sea bass are absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection. The service didn't match the excellent standard of food - I think the waiters might have been short staffed and/or inexperienced - drinks arrived slowly, a chardonnay came as a shiraz, although it was corrected promptly.
We visited yesterday after booking a table to celebrate a birthday. Second time of eating there for us and we definitely weren't disappointed. All relevant Covid19 rules adhered to, pleasant friendly staff serving us. The food was really good and cooked to perfection. Steak and all the trimmings for one of us and Cod loin, bacon, garlic crushed potatoes and pea broth. Both delicious. Thank you for looking after us and helping to make our lunch out a great one. Would definitely recommend.
Service was terrible. Starters edible . Had to wait an hr for our main meal . Saw kitchen staff pick off chips from meals waiting to be served. Main meal was reallly awful . Hard rasher of bacon topped roasted ,watery bland cod . 2 salad potatoes . On top of watery peas . Wreckers wrecked our anniversary
Visited at lunchtime for a quick snack. So impressed with the food and service we booked a table for the evening. Sea Food platter was awesome.
Very sweet place with a sea-view. My fish&chips were delicious and more than I could eat. Nice variety of beers. Friendly staff and enough free tables, to my surprise Thursday afternoon early September. Clear recommendation from me
I was initially concerned about the portion size, but it turned out to be perfect with the rich creamy sauce on the seafood tortelli special. It saved me room for desert which was indubitably worth it. With local beer on tap, nice ambiance, outdoor space and beautiful location, I highly recommend this restaurant.
Super delicious food. We have eaten there twice and both times food was great. Mussels are just epic and if you go for one of 2 seafood sets you will be very happy.
Wow amazing seafood so good we have booked for tomorrow. Sorry no photo we just wanted to dig in update went next day and took some pics.
Fantastic fresh food and the waiter was incredible, he new every dish on the menu and suggested the perfect accompaniments. Also served great Cornish ales and lagers.
