We had a thoroughly enjoyable time in Norway, Discover the World were able to rebook our flights, car hire, hotels and excursions from 2021 to 2022 without any issue. The visit to Norway was excellent and will certainly return.
Holiday of a lifetime enhanced by our tremendous guide who was amazing from the moment she meet us at the airport until she left us, which included a 11pm requested excited knock at the door to let us know northern lights were overhead.
An absolutely unforgettable holiday. Sweden and the Icehotel were stunning and we had a magical few days. We were grateful to the very knowledgeable team at Discover the World as they clearly knew the hotel, area and tours extremely well and gave some excellent advice on which excursions we might enjoy and the order to the do them in. We went for Wildlife photography, an evening snowmobile tour and husky sledding, all of which were brilliant fun. We had one night 'on ice' which was very memorable too. Definitely somewhere you should go at least once and DTW were really very good - highly recommend.
I’d never used this company before but I needed have worried because from the very first phone call to book the holiday from our departure at the airport in Kiruna everything was handled in a professional manner with attention to detail and customer care at the very forefront of the operation. We just had the most magical time both at Abisko and the Ice Hotel. We have travelled the world extensively but this would definitely rate as one of our top five favourite holidays. Thank you for everything, everyone went out of their way to make sure we had a glorious time and we certainly did!
We went on a 5 day family holiday to Iceland and it was superb. From waterfalls to glaciers, hot tubs to hot springs, boat trips to superjeeps - we had a complete blast! Discover the World were excellent - helpful, well informed, offering useful suggestions and really trying to tailor our holiday so that we had a great time. We were so impressed with them that we are going to Canada with DTW this summer
Booked a trip to Iceland , was told money back if any issues before trip . I unfortunately tested positive on Covid Fit to Fly . Asked to move dates by 2 weeks but was told to cancel completely and claim on my insurance. No flexibility, no guarantees and no help whatsoever. Did not attemp to make changes.Kept 100% of money and told me its all in their t’s& c’s. Beware
We travelled to Iceland with DTW. Very smooth process flying with WoW and hiring a car with an ipad which was very useful in helping us find our way around the island. Both properties booked for us by DTW were fantastic, although the heating could not be turned down at Husafell and given the storm meant we couldn't open any windows. Grimsborgir was outstanding for our party of 9. The storm put pay to our excursion into the glacier but given DTW's expertise and local knowledge, we did go 'Into the Volcano' which was incredible. This was absolutely the highlight of the trip and well worth our Icelandic visit - totally unique.
Our family of 9 including children, went to Iceland with DTW. The trip involved celebrating a very special occasion so lots of pre-holiday excitement and expectation. DTW did not disappoint! Every little detail was discussed beforehand with us, to tailor our holiday to suit our specific needs and ensure we had the best possible family experience. The entire trip was professionally planned and well thought out, from the excellent car hire, beautiful accommodation in some stunning locations and varied excursions we will remember for a life-time, that the entire family, from grandparents to kids utterly enjoyed, marveling at the beauty of this wondrous Country. Although we packed in some amazing geological experiences, from seeing the erupting geyser & hot springs, the magnificent Gullfoss Waterfall and following in the footsteps of Vikings, when walking down the lava canyon where the American and Eurasian continents have dramatically pulled apart in Þingvellir National Park, the highlight of our trip has to be descending down the Thrihnukagigur 'Three Peaks Crater' volcano, which I hasten to add is dormant! I suspect not many people can say they have done that in their life-time. What a truly incredible experience / holiday it was and made possible by DTW. It ranks right up there with the best holiday you could possibly experience. Cannot recommend it or DTW highly enough!!
From the fantastic assistance when planning what to book, to the expertise & friendliness of the guide on the the trip, DTW are a definite when I’m arranging next adventure ! In my opinion, their local knowledge & contacts ensure an experience not available with other operators.
I had the most amazing experiance when i went to iceland with Discover the world! Every little deatil was planned and well thought out. From the hire car to the trips larva tubing and blue lagoon, everything was what i expected and more! Could not recommend enough to anyone!
