The duty-free shop at Gatwick or any other duty-free can be a dangerous place for your wallet, especially if you find yourself with hours to burn after clearing security quickly. Even at 4 am, the shop was bustling with activity. The shelves were well-stocked with a wide variety of products, and there was plenty of assistance available if needed. The choices were almost overwhelming, but we eventually settled on the usual perfume for her, a bottle of single malt whisky for me to enjoy during the trip, and some tobacco for junior no rush to quit. The automated checkout made a quick dent in our credit balance, but we were satisfied with our purchases and moved on to kill some time before our flight. It's all part of the traveling experience and everything went smoothly. Overall, it was a positive experience in the world of travel, but it's important to exercise caution and self-control in duty-free shops to avoid overspending.

Gatwick World Duty-Free is large and always seems well stocked. Everything you’d expect in terms of alcohol, perfumes, toiletries, jewellery chocolates, gifts. Always has the latest perfumes and a good range of the main mid-range premium brands that are in most duty-free shops.
We visited WDF Gatwick North today and we were very impressed by the service and assistance we received by 'Sonal P'. She was very friendly and professional and greatly assisted us with our large spend! She went out of her way to offer an exceptional service. Thank you.
Gatwick Airport is generally efficient, with smooth security and convenient access to off-site parking. The digital passport readers are excellent. However, expect long queues at food and duty-free areas during peak times. Arriving early helps avoid the rush. One significant issue: duty-free alcohol purchases can be problematic for travellers to strict Islamic countries. I had my alcohol confiscated and narrowly avoided a penalty upon arriving in Saudi Arabia. Gatwick should implement a warning notice system that flashes on the screen when scanning boarding passes at Duty Free to inform travellers of such restrictions. Policies vary; no issues in UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, or Jordan, but I've since learnt that there is strict enforcement in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. A heads-up from Gatwick could prevent such inconveniences and concern. Being escorted away from your family at an international airport over an unimportant purchase is worrying for children. Overall, a positive experience with room for better and very simple traveller guidance.
Who are these people trying to kid, my wife likes anay anay perfume duty free price at Gatwick for spray 100ml bottle £50, Amazon £36. Wanted a bottle of malt whisky that I buy regularly in the UK, it’s cheaper in a supermarket. Total rip off
Well, I chose 1 star only because I couldn't find zero. Very little stock of champagne, the most expensive only, plus a few dusty and dented gift boxes marked down by a couple of pounds. None of the offers advertised online. The one plus point, it reminded me of Deutschland '83 and visits to East Berlin as a child. Just a joke!
There are always very good discounts, that's why this shop is a very very dangerous place for my wallet... I usually buy bottle of scotch and a Hendrick's gin for me and something else for friends and relatives.
We always pickup the holiday alcohol from here on our way out! Cheaper than buying in most countries on arrival!
