This was a fantastic station for both arrival and departure, maintaining a design from the olden days of rail! The green and yellow architecture, vintage signs and mini signal box at the crossing contribute. The platforms are appropriate sized for the trains, bridge leads across enclosed thankfully and departure boards are up to date!
Charming little railway station in Worksop. Centrally located, two tracks, two platforms. Good for connecting to Retford.
Terrible station, I dread every time I have to change here. The waiting room has a heater however it's always locked, even in the middle of winter! The ticket office is also closed and even in July it's cold in this station so if you don't bring a jacket you'll be trying not to freeze while waiting. On top of that the cafe always closes earlier than it should. Says 3pm on both the board and window yet they usually close 15 minutes before, and another time they closed 30 minutes early! The staff seem like they hate working there. The vending machines are also tempermental and don't seem to work, so good luck trying to find somewhere if you're thirsty.
Small station. Couldn’t find any public toilets. Edit: my bad found it lol
Small sized station with 2 platforms and basic amenities, good for getting to the likes of Nottingham Sheffield Lincoln and various other places
It is an old station with a good canopy covering the platforms to protect you from the British weather. There are toilets but don't rely on them being open and a nice cafe when it is open.
Nice ,calm country side
Not the biggest of stations around with just 2 platforms, but staff are helpful, and there is space to wait inside when the weather is bad although I expect that is only open for use at certain times of day. There's a café as well and vending machines should you need them.
It is an alright station. It would be nicer if there were a few more benches
And this is why I don't use public transport. This kind of weather and they haven't even unlocked the waiting rooms. Well done!
