Story

Word of mouth cafe has been supplying the people of Evesham with good quality food and drink since 2003. A dog friendly café where you can not only enjoy a really good fair-trade coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice or homemade lemonade but if you have any kind of food allergy or intolerance you’ll be able to eat happily.

Menus are prepared using seasonal and locally grown ingredients from our own allotment, local growers and suppliers. The menu is full of gluten free, wheat free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan choices

Take a look through our 'honest book shop' - you can borrow a book and bring it back, swap one of our books for one of yours or buy a book; we send all money we receive to Uganda to help pay for Stevens school fees. Thanks to our lovely customers generosity we have managed to pay fees for the past three years. Any books you don't need are gratefully received.

"Orto Lounge is in a great spot, right on the market square right in the heart of beautiful Evesham. It’s a really gorgeous space with an amazing double height, light and airy space inside and a first floor/mezzanine balcony type affair overlooking the floating clouds of globe lightshades. We serve a fantastic range of food and drinks including full kids, gluten free and vegan menus in a really relaxed, welcoming, atmosphere and have lovely big windows that open right out and a terrace along the front, just perfect for watching the world and its Morris Men go by."

I love the lounges and Orto is the best lounge I've been to by far! We popped in three times over three days for my birthday weekend and enjoyed the great vegan food, wonderful atmosphere and fantastic service. Everything was perfectly cooked, presented, the value is phenomenal, and it's a dog friendly place too! What more could you want Vegetarian options: So much choice for vegans and vegetarians. There's a full vegan and gluten-free menu.
I would say that the Orto Lounge is probably the most popular restaurant in Evesham, I believe it’s only 4 years old though it’s like it has been there for a longer time. The town of Evesham I think has gained more popularity over the Orto Lounge, the chefs are absolutely culinary geniuses, it’s the number one spot for food in my family when we go out, the few parties we’ve had in the restaurant and the laughs that we’ve had as a family in there will always be an amazing feeling in our hearts, the owners are so kind.
Food was amazing, service was very good,and welcoming, can't wait to go again,we had the vegetarian and vegan breakfast.Food: 5/5
Amazing food!!! The whole experience from start to finish is great. Staff is always friendly, especially Amber, she’s so helpful and kind. Always smiling! The food can’t get better and the prices are fair for the portion size. Always a great spot to get great food.
Love the decor and vibes this place does give. Very good food and drinks, cocktails are of good size and reasonable price. Love the fact you can order and pay via phone. Service very friendly and speedy. Can recommend!

The full english breakfast was amazing! Good vegetarian options and alternative breakfasts you don't usually see but looked really good. Very tasty fresh and hot. Friendly staff
Long wait, we went two weeks back, had finished our meal and our coffee's came 10mins later, went yesterday new staff ordered Cappuccinos like water had to take them back to be told by a kid "What's the matter with them"? We used Orto quite a lot before the pandemic but that was the last time, such a shame as we like the placeService: 1/5
Mothers day visit for breakfast. Food was good, staff were polite however the whole establishment was dirty. Dirt on the floor between tables and edges of the property, dust on support columns that seperate tables. Toilets were leaking, water everywhere very run down.
Nice place, guessing there were a few supply issues when we went as there we alot of food and drinks particularly wine and cocktails lthatnwrre unavailable. Food was reasonable priced, well cooked and tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful
