Beautiful setting for this cafe in the Cardinham Forest. They have tables outside for the sunny days and seating inside for the not so warm days. The decor is really nice and the food was really tasty. The location also gives you the option of going for a walk in the forest to walk off your meal. Please note that the parking is not free for non members.
Beautiful and cosy. Delicious vegan chocolate cake and an amazing coffee. Open fire place and nice atmosphere, very friendly staff. Fresh soup and quick service!
Excellent cafe in cardinham woods which itself a lovely place for a stroll or longer walk if you wanted. Very dog and kid friendly with a park suitable for most ages just to the front of it. Decent range of food and drink mainly coffee, tea and sweet stuff I think. There's also a separate kiosk like place to get ice cream. Coffee is very good actually one of the best in the area they even do a dirty chai. As you would imagine it's not cheap and it gets very busy during peak times but it's definitely worth coming to - if you can come early. Kid-friendliness: Has some highchairs and park next door Parking: 3 quid for 2 hours at cardinham though free for members
A little disappointed. Staff friendly, coffee and tea very good. Scones more like rock cakes as they were very crispy then completely fell apart, although tasted fine. You get a buzzer/beeper for you to collect your order, which comes in 2 parts... Drinks, then scones.. Drinks go cold before you get your scones ... These buzzers are constantly going off which really is quite annoying. I rather pay more for table service. I don't know what to think about the amount of packaging our food came in - this maybe recyclable and/or an over spill from Covid... But wow.
Lovely little cafe in Cardinham Woods. Nice food and drink. Loads of inside and outside seating. Quite pricey, but that’s typical of these kind of places. The day I visited was very busy and the service provider was probably tired and was a little abrupt. All good though
Absolutely delicious! Best Bacon, Brie and Cranberry Ciabatta ever! I could have eaten around 10 of those! The scone was lovely and warm too, freshly baked and also amazing. Definitely recommend. We stopped here on a whim and so glad we did.
Would not recommend this as anything other than a quick stop if you were very hungry and already in the area - and even then only because there is nothing else around. The person in charge was exceedingly unhelpful to us and the two other customers I saw her interact with. The woods cafe is meant to be all about a charming setting and home-cooked food but rock solid clotted cream, endless disposable packaging instead of crockery and loud plastic buzzers instead of table service was not our vision for a cream tea in Cornwall.

Never disappoints. There is a small menu but a large specials board which is regularly updated with seasonal dishes. Eaten there a number of times and never had anything less than delicious.
Lovely venue. Coffee good. Cakes dry and a little stale. Best to ask if they've been stored a while.
