I came across this place by accident when my work moved to Accrington a year ago and have been going on a regular basis ever since. Most chippy's I have been to have piles of already cooked chips, fish and pies in the heated cabinets when you go in but not here and its nice to see this place cooks your food freshly when ordered, to me it's always worth that extra couple of minutes waiting to get great food. They have a good selection of 'things to put on a bun' which itself is unusual and the homemade pies and chicken burgers are excellent. Staff are polite and friendly and I certainly intend to keep returning, dinnertime or teatime.......even both times somedays!!

It's quite hit & miss, depending on what time you go.... If you find yourself there as soon as it opens just before dinner time, then it tends to be quite good but if you happen to go as soon as it reopens for teatime at 4.30pm then most of the time it's not upto standard... Food dried up/hard & scraggly like It's rewarmed leftovers from dinner time!.... If It's tea you want then It's definitley best going quite a while after It's opened up as that tends to be when the next batch of food happens to be cooked..... As for price? Then i'd say It's fairly average so It's pretty much fine on that score & same applies for waiting time... Get served quite quickly most of the time!

Never been here before and doubtful I would go back. We asked for lightly battered fish and had to removed a very thick undercooked batter which was proportionately bigger than the actual fish. The fish was pretty tasteless... The chips were the weirdest chips I have ever eaten. The had the texture of a dried up McCain oven chip, they were very dry, not greasy but were as if they had been kept for a long time in a warmer and had virtually no soft potato interior, all dried up! The mushy peas were ok and my wife’s curry sauce was tasty. We had only been here as a last minute choice, but as I say, doubtful we will go back.

Delicious dinner and nice staff, I especially like their chicken bitez and dab deluxe, and the traditional fish n chips is excellent also.
