Comfortable roomy accommodation with lovely wooden furniture. Excellent shower. Very well kept beers, delicious main meals, so-so pudding. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly, personable, efficient hosting. Pleasant atmosphere to relax in.
Made an overnight stop here in our camper. Cost £20 including electric hookup. £15 discount on evening meal if we ate in which we did. Water tap in car park. Thre is a short circular dog walk across the road from the pub. The food was excellent and the service faultless. Toilets very clean. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would happily stay here again.
I’ve stayed for 3 nights. I loved the room and especially the mattress, soooooo comfortable. I’ve had the best nights sleeping here ever! I also thoroughly enjoyed dinner. The team are friendly too. Great job, many thanks
Me and my family stayed here on the 8th of this month to visit the polar express, we stayed one night , my parents in double and ourselves in superior room, I can honestly say this was the best quality for money the rooms are immaculate and just like the pics! Had the best sleep ever as beds are absolute heaven, we had the most amazing meal, the food is beyond amazing, just like the staff, thankyouxx
Stayed the night , beautiful rustic cosy village pub/ b&b . Staff all friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and well presented and had everything you could want and need. Had a evening meal which was stunning couldnt fault, good selection of drinks too, breakfast just as good. Would highly recommend and will be back for another stay very soon
Lovely little gem gorgeous spacious rooms we stayed in the forester room . Breakfast lovely too and couldn't fault the pub food .lovely people who made us very welcome stayed 3nights 21/10 - 24 October 2022 .

Very friendly staff that make you feel welcome, nice beer and lovely food. The accommodation in the "Garden Rooms" is to a very high standard. Lovely bed and tea making facilities. Nice walk-in shower. Look out on to a lawned area with seating. Just a really nice place to stay.Rooms: 5/5
Stayed here a couple of nights, we were made to feel very welcome, our room was spacious and well equipped with a wet room. A couple of comfort chairs to relax in, which a lot of place Don't have nice touches. The food in the restaurant was very nice and tasty and they were all priced reasonably, the bottles of wine again were reasonably price. We would definitely recommend this place, and when we are back in this area we will try to stay here again. One last note if you have a motorhome you can stay in the car park at the back of the pub.
Visited for a Saturday lunchtime as lovely caravan site pheasant hill 5 minutes walk away. Brilliant staff was our first impression and very well laid out pub and immaculately clean with a homely family feel about it. Food was fantastic especially the fish and chips, all very fresh. Real ale was well kept, my wife’s wine was spot on too. Super dog friendly with water bowls and he even had a treat from staff. Well worth visiting and will definitely be back
