I have had only good experiences at the practice, Nurses are great and I did get a call back from my Doctor a few days after I requested one. Yes it can take a while to get through on the phone but they are under a lot of pressure and doing their best, Everybody needs to be respectful to all staff they put up with alot !! I think we are lucky to have the NHS.
I could write an essay of praise for the doctor, phlebotomist, reception staff. Appointment booked for a 13 year old with the nurse. Go to the appointment and the surgery is closed. The practice manager should be sacked if this is how they organise a surgery
I've been a patient here for years and this surgery has gone so far down hill over recent times, they need new management. I have COPD and am supposed to see a copd nurse once a year, seen them once in 4 years. The appointment system is a joke, this morning my partner was in severe pain and needed an appointment, obviously it was busy and we expect that so used the call back and never heard anything, my partner could not get in contact, tried email and was told oh you need to make an appointment instead ffs.. Ended up going to the hospital, where we're still waiting, there's more I could add but what's the point.. This surgery is failing its patients massively.
I think myself fortunate to be able to use woodlands as my local gp practice. It's a very proactive health care center with an amazing range of services on site. It's very modern and well laid out. One thing I like is that you can use the app to reorder prescriptions. Unlike many places, you are treated as a person and not a number. I do find that the staff do their best to make sure you are well taken care of. My own GP at woodlands is very Frank and very open to talk to. I always feel assured when I have an appointment at woodlands. The nurses are great. If you're new to the area, they will help and make sure you are well taken care of. I guess ultimately if you are reading reviews to find out if woodlands is a good place to go, I'd say yes. It is.
