Grand old building set in beautiful surroundings. Only stayed overnight whilst attending a function in Dumfries.  Very comfortable bedroom well presented and an excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Helpful friendly staff. Late night bar with obliging barmen when we returned from function. Looking at bit dated in places. Hotel appearance spoilt by steel structure on the side. Would recommend it though.

Just had another loverly meal. Best roast potatoes I've ever tasted! Great service and very reasonably priced.
