Excellent. High quality and very relevant exhibits. Those who know the history will recognise the wonderful walk through of a coal miners life. Best museum i ever visited.

Very impressive and informative museum on coal mining made out of an old coal mine, a must see to truly understand the history of the area. It has a good art exhibition as well and an archive for research. It also has a lot of the machinery intact and you can visit a lot of the original structure.

Amazing outdoor space , very clean and could easily spend the full day here

This is a great day out for the family.  The mining museum is great on it's own  however there are different events on fork time to time. This last one I visited was vintage cars.

Fantastic walk back into time. Fantastic experience. Highly recommend
