I popped in this morning around 9.30am just to collect the items I have ordered on line after kind and prompt emails from library services staff. There were two staff members chatting at the desk and no other customers.After checking at the machine that my books are in I approached the desk with a nice good morning saying the reason I am there .The gentleman said all I have to do is go and use the machine ..I am not actually working in here.?! I said I have to pay an amount He asked me if I have cash or card ,I said card and he repeated I can use the machine for that . So I went on to proceed although I wasnt ask if I need any help as I would appreciate little help as haven't done it before. No problem I have done it easily. I really appreciate all other staff got in touch so many times both in Woodhall and centre. This is the first member of staff showing a completely different attitude no one would like to encounter . So I am really happy that you do not work here and hopefully will not get the chance to train anyone. It will always be the attitude which will make the difference . Treat others the way u would like to be treated.
There is a good selection of children's books, ranging from baby picture books to teenage. Staff are helpful and friendly. The check-in machine makes it very easy to renew, return and borrow books. There are a few places to sit and read to little ones in the children's corner.
I really love this Library it has the best smell of books when u first walk in and it’s so quiet and peaceful. I am currently trying to write a book. And with my autism it makes it hard to focus but am able to get it done and write as much as a can while reading for breaks. The Library also has very amazing books. Such as Jane Austen. She is an amazing writer. The books always look new and clean so does the Libary. The staff are very kind. The timings are abit strange but I love it with its open long so I have more time to study and plus I have school even if I go in one hour a day so I love going in after my hour and studying and stuff. People are always respectful in the Libary and there are lots of places u would sit and do whatever. They have stuff for kids aswell which is very good : Overall I love the Libary <3
No offence to staff- the lady behind the desk is the loveliest- but this place is filthy. Especially the kids books section. Council needs to bring in some professional cleaners from time to time.
Woodhall is a great little library. The staff are lovely and the children's section has a good selection. The rhyme time sessions are great fun for the kids.
Small library but you can have stuff ordered in. Has computer access and you can print there. Has morning baby/ toddler sessions. Always friendly staff.
Such a lovely visit each time I go, kids love looking through the books and the staff are always lovely.
They reserved a book for me and I collected it today and issued using the easy to understand kiosk.
Great little community Library, glad its still open!!
Cosy Library, small but reliable. Internet and plenty of books.
