I am deeply saddened and disappointed by my experience at this venue. My day was utterly ruined due to a series of mishaps that were entirely avoidable.nnAfter making full payment and booking well in advance, I arrived an hour early on the day of my event, only to discover from another host not the staff that the hall was double-booked. This was incredibly distressing as I had specifically arrived early due to my anxiety and desire to ensure everything was in order.nnThe staff and manager were of no help. When I inquired about what could be done, given that my guests were arriving and food was prepared, I was told there was nothing they could do. Their exact words were “I don’t know,” which led to an emotional breakdown for me.nnThankfully, I managed to work something out with the other party using the venue, but it meant I had to clean up after them with no assistance from the venue staff. This was both physically and mentally exhausting, especially as many of my guests, who had traveled from far away, left due to the lack of a proper setup.nnTo make matters worse, much of the food spoiled as there were not enough guests to consume it, and I had to pay extra to vendors for the bouncy castle and catering services due to the delay. My little brother, whose first big birthday party this was, was heartbroken as most of his friends couldn’t stay due to the rescheduled timing.nnThroughout this ordeal, the staff and manager provided no help, even though they caused this disaster. They did not show up in person, and all communication was handled over the phone.nnDespite these overwhelming challenges, I did my best to try and make the day eventful for the celebrant, my little brother. The entire day was chaotic and took a significant toll on me mentally and physically. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and coordination left us in a lurch. What is one supposed to do after planning an event for months, only to find out an hour before that there is no venue?nnI cannot express how unpleasant and unprofessional this experience was. It highlighted the poor communication between the staff. I did not get any help from the manager or staff and had to figure everything out on my own, trying to salvage the mess they made. They did nothing to assist and did not even attempt to help. It would’ve been a bit better if I had gotten assistance rather than “I don’t know” “There’s nothing we can do about it” It was a disastrous and deeply upsetting experience! I originally thought the good reviews and professional meeting with pleasant staff meant I was in good hands, little did I know…
We hired the main hall for our daughter's birthday party recently and it was great. Mo was easy to communicate with and helpful showing around and facilities in advance. Everything was clean and in order on the day and I'd recommend for birthday or community activity.
Typical community centre. Not much to go off. It was for a market event, we went. My kids enjoyed it.
hired the hall for a new year's event. Mo was extremely helpful and really nice and helping us secure the booking and letting us know where everything was in the hall. Would definitely book again in the future.
Great place to hire for a kids party. Kitchen and bathrooms available. Cherished function room/centre by the locals
