24/7 Emergency Care
We provide 24/7 emergency ‘out of hours’ provision by our own vets at our own hospital – we never close. In the unfortunate circumstance that your pet needs emergency care outside routine consulting times, rest assured we are on hand to provide any help required.

Cheadle Hulme A&E Vets is staffed by our dedicated team of experienced night staff from our hospital on Queens Rd. Our staff only work at night so they are fresh and ready to assist you and your pet should the need arise. We do not expect you to be attended by vets who may be exhausted after a hard day’s work. Neither do we expect you to travel long distances to remote, separate A&E clinics. Instead, we are able to offer a local caring emergency service from a state of the art hospital practice, computer linked to all our other centres. This ensures all our vets have access to your pet’s medical records irrespective of the time of night.

State of the Art Anaesthesia
We have invested heavily in advanced anaesthetic drugs, training and monitoring equipment to ensure that your pet’s anaesthetic is as safe as possible.

Blood pressure, pulse oximetry and capnography are standard practice for all but the very shortest of procedures at all of our centres offering anaesthesia.
Most importantly, all our patients have a trained dedicated anaesthesia nurse assigned to them to provide continual ‘finger on the pulse’ monitoring throughout the anaesthesia & recovery periods. Together with the veterinary surgeon, their only role is to ensure the safety of your pet's anaesthetic.

Constant hospital supervision
If your pet is hospitalised with us, you can be assured they are being cared for by experienced staff to the highest standard.
Our hospital is staffed 24/7 – your pets will never be left alone. In most veterinary practices there is no-one on the premises after the end of evening surgery or over weekends. This means that there is no-one on the premises to look after any patients that are kept in overnight. No-one to notice that an i/v drip line has become blocked, a patient has started to vomit or is showing pain.

Extra expertise
Not only do we offer first opinion care of the highest order, but Woodcroft vets also employ nine consultant veterinary surgeons who have all undertaken additional, more advanced training, examinations and qualifications in a particular field. We have consultant vets in covering all aspects of your pets care. This enables us to offer our clients a range of medical and surgical procedures beyond that normally offered by most veterinary practices without the need for travel to remote referral practices.

Pet club membership
Membership of our exclusive pet club is available to all dogs, cats and rabbits when newly registered and vaccinated by us.
We provide a free microchip at the time of vaccination or routine neutering, helping reunite you and your pet if they ever get lost. We give a 20% discount off the cost of early routine neutering and vaccination discounts for multi-pet households. Our veterinary nurses provide free dental and flea checks as well as routine nail clipping. Dedicated nurses run free weight clinics at most of our branches.

Gold standard vaccination programs
Our vaccine programs are different. We take time to discuss all aspects of your pet’s care to ensure you get all the best advice and support you need. As with other veterinary practices, a full head to toe health examination and primary vaccination course to protect against fatal diseases are included. In addition, we give you 4 weeks free pet insurance, 20% off the cost of early neutering, a free bag of Royal Canin food, a free microchip, pet toothpaste and an adolescent health check at 6 months of age.

If you have a new puppy, we believe that good socialisation from an early age is an important first step. Our gold standard puppy program includes an initial extended consultation to provide all the behavioural advice you need to make the very best start. In addition to the benefits discussed above, our puppy program includes a ‘Sounds for Life’ CD to reduce the risk of noise phobias later in life as well as a support manual written by our consultant in veterinary behavioural medicine to help socialise your puppy to the best of our ability. Attendance at our exceptional socialisation classes by you and your puppy is encouraged.

State of the art facilities
From blood pressure to blood transfusion, CT scanning to cataract surgery or digital radiography to Doppler ultrasound, we offer the best medical treatment to all of our patients. We are amongst the best equipped practices in the UK.
