Nice building with good teaching facilities. Parking is a bit restricted and you may need to park on the outdoor courts.
The school must be really bad because it's one of ella wright's words fears going back and it makes her really sad thinking about the school it's terrible
A lot of Bullying goes on at this school. Nothing is done about it. It's just swept under the carpet and hope it goes away. Teachers have no control over these bullies and turn a blind eye. I just hope it never happens to their children. The Headmaster certainly does not help to sort this very big problem.
We had to move our son to another school because of all the bullying and harassment by lgbtq people in this school which none of it gets sorted out and worst of all they completely ignored the fact my son has autism and treated him like a normal functioning person
It's a school that has its ups and downs, like every school. It is OK, but the fact that a 1 hour detention is given if your target is not reached - especially in year 7 or 8 and if your new, because the school may not know what your best skills are, and might over estimate the students. You may think that it is acceptable, but not reaching your target or not doing homework gives you the same, if not even worse, of a punishment, than stealing a phone, bullying, and all of the other 'serious offences'!!! Of course, the education in most lessons is good, but the punishments need to be sorted out immediately!!!
I would die to go there school it’s amazing
Avoid this school now! As a former student here it used to be outstanding when I first started. Unfortunately, this school had now gone terrible ever since it became an academy. the good teachers who cared about there students and helped with the work have mostly left and the bad teachers who cannot handle the students still remain. for example, I used to have English with a teacher not going to say name who was more interested in telling us about the task we needed to do and if we needed help she would just tell us to carry on and wouldn't help. We would complete to work to some satisfation only for her to address the whole class at the end and say "This work is APPAULING!" even if you tried your hardest she wouln't be interested and just made you feel bad about yourself and give up. On the other hand, the remaining good teachers would actually help
The teachers themselves are very good, but due to the complete lack of appropriate management the staff does not work well as a unit. Individual members of staff are usually knowledgeable in their subject but are frequently unable to manage the behaviour of pupils. Cases of bullying are handled extremely inefficiently, and the default way of doing so usually sees both bullies and victims tarred with the same brush. Discipline is ineffective and usually consists of teaching staff screaming at the top of their voices. Their 'zero tolerance' policy has caused crackdowns on ridiculous standards of behaviour, such as pupils being put on report for authorised lateness yet fails to adequately assess the deep-rooted bullying and behavioural management problems the school has as a unit. Students are vastly under-assessed, usually being put in group sets which are way below their academic ability, and any student in these low sets gets very little support and praise. The top 10% of the students as the staff deem them are treated very differently to the rest, and as such are able to attend various trips and events that other students are excluded from. The OFSTED reports and grade boundaries are much lower than neighbouring schools in the catchment area which have in previous years had baseless negative reputations. Overall the school has the potential to function well as many of the teaching staff are excellent, but they are suppressed by the ridiculous nit-picking with minor regulations and the poor behaviour and management of said behaviour of many pupils.
not even allowed go toilet in between lessons as they lock them and at breaks have middle aged men standing waiting for us to finish
Too many Redditors walking around making the place stink
